A quiet place to read books in Dangjin or spend time with children can be found naturally at the Dangjin Library of the Chungcheongnam-do Education Support Office.

The library consists of three floors, designed for use by both children and adults in their own ways.

Location: 266 Seobu-ro, Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do

Operating Hours:

Weekdays:

Children's Reading Room: 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM

General Reading Room: 09:00 AM - 07:00 PM

Self-Study Room: 09:00 AM - 09:00 PM

Saturdays:

Children's Reading Room: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

General Reading Room: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Self-Study Room: 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Upon entering the library, the first thing you encounter is the information board, where you can check library news and program details.

The first floor is centered around children's spaces, including a children's reading room and a toddler reading area, along with a care classroom.

This integration of childcare within the library enhances its role in the community.

The children's reading room is brightly decorated to create a friendly atmosphere, encouraging kids to engage with books.

The toddler reading area features custom tables and low structures for comfort.

There are also computers for searching books and signing up for library membership.

The second floor houses the general reading room and a book café.

The general reading room is a welcoming space where anyone can borrow books, with a limit of 20 books per person.

The book café, Green Narae, offers a relaxed environment where many people read or chat.

On Mondays, a barista certification course is held, and free coffee is offered to library users on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The third floor features lifelong learning and self-study rooms.

On my visit, a program for 6 to 7-year-olds called "Tung Drum" was taking place, focusing on musical notes and numbers.

Additionally, various club activities and lifelong education programs are offered within the library.

The self-study room has a café-like atmosphere, making it comfortable for long stays.

The Dangjin Library of the Chungcheongnam-do Education Support Office is a great place to visit with children or to enjoy some quiet time alone.

If you're looking to spend some time with a book in Dangjin, I highly recommend stopping by!

Thank you.
