▲ Way to Seonghungsan Fortress
Last weekend, I revisited Buyeo after a long time. The Seonghungsan Love Tree I visited this summer was lush and green, so I suggested we check it out again to see how it looks between autumn and winter.
My boyfriend and I wanted to take pictures together, and the Seonghungsan Love Tree was the perfect spot for that.
The name itself, Love Tree, evokes feelings of love, connection, memories, and emotions, doesn't it?
▲ Way to Seonghungsan Fortress
A short drive from downtown Buyeo leads to the parking lot of the Seonghungsan Love Tree.
It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the tree, and this time feels like the exciting beginning of the journey.
The path isn't too rugged, yet it's not completely flat either, making it a perfect date course.
We strolled slowly, chatting and taking photos, enjoying the sound of the wind in the mountain path as we savored the last moments of autumn.
▲ Filming Location of Seonghungsan Fortress
Especially, the Seonghungsan Love Tree is frequently featured in dramas I love, such as Hotel Del Luna and Alchemy of Souls, adding to its dreamy atmosphere.
▲ Path to Seonghungsan Love Tree
What I liked most was that the surroundings remained untouched by excessive development, preserving a natural feel that made me feel far removed from the city.
Since the Seonghungsan Love Tree is at the peak, some hiking is necessary, and at that moment, the scent of the trees and the breeze provided a healing experience.
▲ Buyeo Garim Fortress
Although famous for the Love Tree, this area is actually Garim Fortress.
Garim Fortress was built to defend the Baekje capital of Sabi during its later period.
Seonghungsan, where Garim Fortress is located, is a strategic center overlooking the Geumgang River, serving as a base for the Baekje revival movement.

As we reached the end of the path, our view suddenly opened up, revealing the Seonghungsan Love Tree standing tall.
It truly lives up to its name as a Love Tree.
When I visited in summer, it had a vibrant feel, but coming at the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, seeing the branches stripped of leaves gave it a sense of maturity.
▲ Buyeo Garim Fortress Zelkova Tree
Next to the famous Love Tree stands a centuries-old zelkova tree, gracefully spreading its branches on the ridge, retaining a touch of green.
▲ Sunset Moment at Seonghungsan Love Tree
The branches form a heart shape, almost as if crafted by human hands!
Standing beneath the tree, I felt an incredible sense of calm from its immense and tranquil presence.
Just sitting quietly during the sunset was a wonderful experience.
▲ Sunset Moment
Fortunately, we visited in the afternoon and were able to witness the sunset, where the Love Tree displayed its peak beauty.
As the sun began to set, golden rays spread behind the tree, making even the rustling leaves seem cinematic.
The beauty was so overwhelming that I kept taking photos, unable to capture it all.
I've heard that couples promise their love at sunset, and I truly understood that sentiment.
The moment of looking at each other against the sky behind the Love Tree felt precious without any special arrangement.
We sat under the tree, silently watching the scenery.
While traveling, we often rush to take photos or enjoy delicious food, but here, everything felt like it paused for a moment.
The small conversations and expressions we shared under the Love Tree will stay in my memory for a long time.
▲ Half of the Love Tree
A photo that couples must take here is the heart photo.
One of the branches of the Love Tree curves roundly, allowing for a pose where, when combined, it looks like the couple is inside a heart.
We searched for the best position to take this shot and finally found it.
Important!! Tips for Taking Great Photos!
It's better to take photos from the designated photo zone instead of directly in front of the tree for a stable shot.
Since each person has to take turns, it's crucial to position yourself well in the camera frame.
The afternoon sunlight seems to create the prettiest photos.
▲ A Great Date Spot for Lifelong Memories
We edited our photos slightly on a mobile app to create the perfect heart shape, and we were very satisfied.
For capturing lifelong memories, the Seonghungsan Love Tree in Buyeo is a top destination!
It felt refreshing in summer and mature in winter, with each season offering a different charm.
If you're looking for a couple's travel spot for memorable photos, I highly recommend visiting the Seonghungsan Love Tree in Buyeo!
Next time, I plan to return in spring.
If you're searching for travel destinations in Buyeo, I hope you capture beautiful memories with your loved one at the Seonghungsan Love Tree!
