Our time at Museum X, filled with sights and activities, was pure fun. The hands-on experiences were especially fascinating.
Parking Information
The indoor parking was a great perk. The entrance is located to the left of the main building. Being indoors made it convenient even on a rainy day. I was so glad to park inside, especially since it was raining during my visit.
Inside Museum X
The fusion of technology and art! That's the vibe you get at Museum X. The exterior is eye-catching enough, right? After parking, head up the stairs to find the entrance.
Inside the entrance, you'll find kiosks for ticket purchases. Check your reservation and get your tickets here.
There's also a storage area for your belongings. Store thick coats or bags here for a more comfortable experience.
Exploring Museum X
Checking our reservation and getting our tickets. The dark gray walls create a mysterious yet clean atmosphere.
After getting your tickets, you'll receive a wristband. You need this to enter and to use the interactive exhibits; they scan the barcode on your wristband.
Finally, we're in! Walk through the dark passage, and you'll find the interactive exhibits. You can even dance with fun videos that respond to your movements.
Taking photos in the dazzling photo zone is a must! Usually, you have to wait in long lines, but here, the lines weren't too bad. It was so much easier and more enjoyable to take as many photos as we wanted.
AI Experience Booth
Watch the screen as AI creates a face. There are male and female versions, and the face on the screen changes as you make different expressions.
This is where AI creates portraits. The line was quite long, but we waited and got our portraits done. It was funny to see how AI perceived me.
As I mentioned earlier, you can choose your background and take four-cut photos. I chose a sunset beach, and my daughter chose the Eiffel Tower.
Playful Experience Space
This is where you can film yourself with balls floating in the air. It's especially popular with kids because they can capture themselves playing.
This area features swings with exciting videos playing. The thrilling videos made swinging even more fun.
This is a space where you can watch various videos on a large screen. People were sitting on the floor watching. We joined them for a while and enjoyed the videos.
The videos on the massive screen were incredible. It's not something you see every day, so it's sure to pique your curiosity.
This is another popular spot. Even if you're not good at drawing, AI will create a drawing for you. Many people were lined up waiting. Once you start, it's hard to stop.
Rooftop Cafe
After the exhibits, follow the path to the rooftop cafe. You can take photos with the pink mermaid sculpture with the ocean in the background.
The cloudy sea created a mysterious atmosphere. We enjoyed the refreshing feeling of the ocean breeze and crashing waves.
Inside the cafe, there's a souvenir shop selling Museum X-related items.
We enjoyed refreshing ades while talking about our favorite parts of the museum. Other visitors were also relaxing and enjoying drinks.
We took photos with the pretty mermaid. Luckily, the rain stopped for a bit. The view of the Sokcho sea was beautiful.
Final Thoughts
I loved that it wasn't just a media art exhibition but a space where you could experience and share AI. The many hands-on exhibits are a definite plus. If you're planning a trip to Sokcho, I highly recommend Museum X as an indoor date option. You'll have so much fun that you'll lose track of time.
