Hello! ๐Ÿ˜Š

At the end of November, I went on a 2-day trip to Busan with my parents and my fiancรฉ!

This turned out to be our last trip before the wedding.

Now, let me share my honest review of my self-funded trip to Busan.

[2-Day Itinerary]

โœ… Grilled eel & Anchovy sashimi

โœ… Patterned squid sashimi & Squid guts

โœ… Beef and lamb intestines

โœ… Cod soup

โœ… Eel rice bowl

Located in Gijang, Busan, the Gijang Ihwajang Sashimi Restaurant has a 30-year tradition.

When you think of Busan, isn't grilled eel the first thing that comes to mind?

I searched for grilled eel and found this place, as I was concerned about the cleanliness of the restrooms elsewhere.

They were grilling eel over charcoal right outside the restaurant.

Although the menu mentioned straw-grilled eel, it was actually cooked over charcoal.

So, the eel I had that day was not straw-grilled. ๐Ÿ˜…

While waiting for the eel, we ordered the anchovy sashimi (mixed).

This was my first time trying this dish, and I found the anchovies to be surprisingly large and salty.

As for the straw-grilled eel, I discovered that I really enjoy mild-tasting grilled eel!

Since it was our first meal in Busan, we enjoyed it with a drink.

Drinking Dae-sun in Busan was fantastic!

Indeed, a trip to Busan is incomplete without Dae-sun! ๐Ÿปโค๏ธ

[Review Event]

If you write a review with your receipt, you can receive an abalone!

They ask for a few photos and a few lines of writing, and they check thoroughly before giving you the abalone (one per person).

After our meal, we visited Haedong Yonggungsa to digest our food.

We took a walk, snapped some photos, and lit a family candle! ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

I prayed sincerely for a peaceful year-end and for everyone around me to have a calm day like today.

I wish everyone reading this peace and success. Let's all be happy! ๐Ÿ˜Š

We also visited a large Christmas tree in Haeundae.

It was so big that there was a line of people waiting to take photos.

We quickly took a diagonal shot and moved on!

Next, we went to Haeundae White Squid House, known for its fresh squid sashimi.

They use only squids flown in fresh daily from the source.

Since my fiancรฉ loves squid, I made sure to include it in our dinner menu.

We were worried that we might not be satisfied with common tourist trap restaurants.

The side dishes were impressive, served in beautiful and diverse dishes.

The squid guts paired well with the innards, making it mild and savory, and both the body and legs were tender and delicious!

Finally, we tried the patterned squid, which I had been eagerly anticipating.

Having heard from a friend that patterned squid is incredibly chewy, I was excited to try it.

In conclusion, patterned squid = bliss!

Make sure to eat it raw; the texture is twice as good!

We took the subway for the first time in Busan, and I found it very convenient.

We headed to Jagalchi Station to eat beef and lamb intestines.

At Baekhwa Yanggobchang, which was originally recommended by my dad, I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the food was!

When you enter through the vintage door, you find yourself in a new space.

Just a tip: wear clothes that you donโ€™t mind smelling of grilled food!

Even though my stomach was full, I still wanted to try everything!

We ended our trip with a delightful eel rice bowl from Unaju, a traditional Hitsumabushi restaurant.

It was a memorable trip filled with delicious food and family moments.

Here are some photos from our journey:
