Yeongdeok Blue Road Course 6 is one of the shortest sections of the entire course.

This brief 3.3km stretch encapsulates centuries of tradition and the stunning scenery of the East Sea.

Starting from Goesiri Traditional Village, passing through the foothills of Mt. Sangdae, and ending at Daejin Beach, this 1-hour and 40-minute walk is a journey of quiet contemplation, deep appreciation, and slow reflection.

This course is recommendable to everyone.

Course Overview

Starting Point: Goesiri Traditional Village

Ending Point: Daejin Beach

Total Distance: Approximately 3.3km

Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes on foot

Key Points: Goesiri Traditional Village – Sangdaesan Gwaneodae – Daejin Beach

1️⃣ Goesiri Traditional Village

The starting point of Course 6, Goesiri Traditional Village, is one of the most historically significant old house villages in Gyeongbuk.

It is the hometown of ‘Mogeun Yi Saek,’ a great Confucian scholar of the Joseon Dynasty, and still preserves more than 20 old houses.

Walking along the stone wall paths, gazing at the eaves of the traditional houses, you can feel the breath of Joseon with every step and experience the ‘warmth of time’ that you can never find in the city.

2️⃣ Sangdaesan Gwaneodae

Leaving Goesiri, a natural path continues along the ridge of Mt. Sangdae. The most impressive place in this section is ‘Gwaneodae (觀漁臺).’

Meaning ‘the rock where fish were observed,’ this place served as a watchtower where fishermen watched the sea conditions from ancient times.

Standing here, you can see Goesiri Village, Daejin Port, and the blue horizon of the East Sea at a glance, and despite the short course, the scenery leaves a deep impression.

3️⃣ Daejin Beach

The final destination of the course is Daejin Beach.

Famous for its wide sandy beach and clean seawater, this place maintains a quiet atmosphere throughout the four seasons.

It is a great place to stay for a while after finishing the course.

Nearby, there is also a small harbor, seafood restaurants, and rest areas, making it perfect for finishing your journey with a simple snack or a cup of coffee.
