A Journey of Learning at Gongju Happiness Nurim

In the spring, the first flowers to bloom are the Cornelian cherry blossoms. Today, they caught my eye vividly as I walked down the path of spring.
These trees, which bloom first in spring and bear fruit until late in winter, embrace all the seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
This year, once again, they have announced the arrival of spring with their blossoms.
In an age where many things are done by AI, I sought out Gongju Happiness Nurim to take AI classes.
Wanting to enrich my life with the capabilities of my phone, I decided to enroll in a Wednesday evening AI class that starts at 7 PM, thinking it would fit perfectly into my daily routine.
After four weeks of attending the 'Practical AI Report Writing Course,' I felt the urge to introduce Gongju Happiness Nurim.
Gongju Happiness Nurim
Address: 21 Uidang-ro, Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do
The entrance gives off a vibe that is both decorated and natural, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Gongju Happiness Nurim operates a Lifelong Learning Center, a National Sports Center, a Youth Training Center, a Career Education Center, and a Gongju Comic Small Library.
The entrance desk was empty in the evening, with only the sound of footsteps from those arriving for classes.
The first floor was clean, tidy, and pleasant. I usually head straight to the third floor for classes, but I had never noticed how cozy the first floor was before.
Gongju began its Lifelong Learning Center in 2007, but it did not operate from 2008 to 2014. From 2015 onwards, it established a basic plan for lifelong learning and joined the UNESCO Global Learning Cities Network in 2020. In 2024, it will receive the 'Grand Prize' for the Lifelong Learning Award in South Korea.
This place serves as a 'space for relaxation,' truly making one feel at ease.
Next to it is the Career Education Center, which was closed in the evening.
Adjacent to the Career Education Center is a meeting place for conversations, cozy and well-organized, likely bustling with discussions during the day.
The Youth Training Center is a space dedicated to young people, fostering dreams and hopes through cultural and vocational experiences in the historical and cultural city of Gongju.
It offers cultural courses and experiential learning activities.
The digital learning room on the third floor is where I attend my classes. I often reminisce about the comic books I borrowed as a child.
I am currently enrolled in the 'Practical AI Report Writing Course,' running from February 25 to May 13, with classes every Wednesday from 7 PM to 9 PM.
Arriving early, I see others preparing for class, and I feel a sense of pride in learning something new. This spring, I have begun my journey at Gongju Happiness Nurim.
