Finding a Better Breakfast on the Last Morning

On the last morning of my trip to Busan,
I stepped out to buy a convenience store lunch box before checking out,
when I stumbled upon a home-cooked Korean buffet.
Instead of settling for a simple lunch box at a similar price,
I thought a hearty breakfast would be better, so I visited without hesitation.
Location and Basic Information
The Haeundae Home-Cooked Korean Buffet is just a 4-minute walk from Exit 3 of Haeundae Station.
If you go slightly inside from Gunam-ro,
you'll easily find it thanks to its large sign.

- Opening Hours: 05:30 AM - 03:00 PM
- Address: 2nd Floor, 1382-12 Jung-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan
The buffet also offers takeout options.
When we visited, the price was 7,000 won,
but a notice indicated that it would increase to 8,000 won starting January 1st of this year.
Entering the Buffet
As we climbed the stairs to the second floor,
the delicious aroma of home-cooked meals filled the air.
Inside, you pay in advance and can enjoy your meal freely.
The place was quite spacious,
and at 8:20 AM on the weekday we visited,
only two other people were dining there.
(Buffets tend to get busier during lunch!)

Food Selection and Self-Service Bar
There were two types of rice: white rice and mixed grain rice.
You could also find popular dishes like ham with ketchup and stir-fried pork.
Side dishes included napa cabbage kimchi, seasoned black soybeans, and stir-fried burdock.
There were also radish salad, seasoned spinach, and stir-fried ham with ketchup.
Condiments like sesame oil, vinegar, pepper, ssamjang, and gochujang were available,
and bowls for bibimbap were provided so you could mix the side dishes deliciously.
Enjoying a Generous Breakfast
After a night of drinking, I tend to feel extremely hungry,
so I usually eat more than usual.
I filled my plate generously, but with the large size,
it was hard to gauge how much I had taken.
Since you can take as much as you want,
I recommend starting with smaller portions.
The warm soybean paste soup was served directly.

A Comforting Morning Atmosphere
With morning dramas on TV,
the bustling chefs, and the delightful aroma of food,
I felt a comforting atmosphere, like being at my grandparents' house during the holidays.
Dessert included ice cream,
but I skipped it because I was too full.
You could also enjoy one mix coffee per person,
but coffee was only available inside the restaurant.

Final Thoughts
On the last morning,
I usually grab something quick from a convenience store,
but I think I will be visiting the home-cooked buffet more often from now on.
