A Healing Escape at Verger Jardin Bakery Cafe in Sunchang

Hello, I'm Kkachilgangyi, a travel influencer known for my picky tastes.
I recently traveled to Sunchang to attend the Sunchang Tteokbokki Festival.
While I was there, I took the opportunity to visit Verger Jardin, a famous large bakery cafe in Sunchang, for some relaxation. The outdoor garden was so beautiful and full of photo spots, making it a great place to take pictures and unwind.
This was my first visit to Verger Jardin, a large cafe loved by Sunchang, where outdoor weddings are sometimes held. It's a large cafe with palm trees and two shallow pools. It was also a great place to take a walk in the warm autumn sunshine.
The outdoor garden was beautiful, but the interior was also lovely. The autumn scenery visible through the windows was so beautiful, and I personally enjoyed seeing the artwork displayed throughout the cafe.

As expected of a large cafe with over 3,000 pyeong, the view as soon as I entered was magnificent. The main space is a glass greenhouse, and there was also a large pool and an exhibition hall where you can view art.
The parking lot was extraordinary. I wondered what the inside would be like if the cafe parking lot was this big. Many cars were already parked, but there was still space available.
After parking in the parking lot, I entered the cafe. The entrance was unusual. I could enter the cafe through a large gate. It was enough to arouse curiosity.
I had to go further inside along a forest path. The path was like a maze, giving me the illusion of being in a fairy tale.
As I followed my companions further inside, the main building finally appeared. I heard that the glass greenhouse is the main cafe.
As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the savory smell of freshly baked bread. It was already a famous place in Sunchang for its daily handmade bread. Even during my short stay, I could see bread being made and delivered continuously.
There was a bread discount event going on. I could buy rice flour bread at a 20% discount.
At first, I thought the rice flour bread was bread with flour sprinkled on top, but it was one of the bread-making methods used here. I heard that it is more chewy than wheat flour because of its high viscosity, so I had to try it.
It was also worth watching the freshly baked bread being moved from the bakery to the cafe. After waiting for a while, I could buy freshly baked bread right away. The visual of the salt bread alone was enough to make my eyes widen.
After ordering coffee and bread, I took a seat. I sat by the window because I liked the view of the scenery outside through the large windows. After waiting a while, the vibration bell rang, and I picked up the drinks and bakery items I ordered. I chose bread with figs in it. They even cut it for me because I said I would eat it there.
I shared the bread with my companions. It was fun to taste the different flavors of bread that each of us had chosen. The bread with pumpkin and peas had a soft and sweet pumpkin flavor. It was even better with a creamy latte.
The weather was so nice that I thought it would be nice to go outside, so I quietly went outside. The fallen leaves and the autumn foliage that was still in full bloom seemed to go well together.
There is another building across from the main building. This is a space where a cafe and an exhibition hall are operated at the same time. The bathroom was also in the gallery cafe.
There is also a back gate, not the main gate. The place where I took the picture was near the back gate. I could come right into the main cafe. I could fully feel autumn under the red maple tree.
The gallery on the second floor. The space decorated with white cloth created a dreamy atmosphere. The low chairs and tables were impressive.
The view from the window on the second floor is also very pretty, right? I liked the view from above, so I sat down and rested for a while.
There was also a piano, so I touched the keys for a while. I always regretted that I had only learned up to Czerny 30, but my hands were shaking when I tried to play it today. There was no one there, so I quickly gave up after playing a few bars. haha
On the first floor as well, tables are provided in the center and by the windows. As befits a gallery, there were wonderful works on display on the walls. I drank coffee and appreciated the art.
It was also great to slowly look around and appreciate each piece of art. It was a place where the relaxation of the space and the emotions of the season went well together.
I ate delicious bakery items and drank fragrant coffee.
In addition, I enjoyed art exhibitions and basked in the warm autumn sunshine in the outdoor garden!
It was healing itself for me. The space was so large that there was no stress from noise, and I could eat healthy and delicious bread made with rice, so I enjoyed this time with satisfaction.
