A Dazzling Summer Night at the Yeosu K-Mega Island Festival

I rushed to a fantastic festival that's perfect for enjoying a glamorous summer night.
That place is Yeosu!!!
I visited the K-Mega Island Festival held in Yeosu. I'm going to share the vivid and exciting festival atmosphere with you right now.
We could joyfully jump, play, and enjoy a happy summer night together to the fullest. It was an even more enjoyable experience to be part of a large festival held in Yeosu.
Thanks to enjoying the performances despite the sweltering heat, I felt like I was 10 years younger. Was that just me? That was our way of enjoying the Yeosu K-Mega Island Festival.

The 2025 Yeosu K-Mega Island Festival kicks off on July 26th and runs until August 2nd. The festival features various events and performances, so you can book tickets for your desired dates based on the line-up and visit. More detailed information can be found on Ticketlink.
Parking Information
When you arrive at the venue, you can park with the guidance of parking staff at the entrance. I arrived a little early and was fortunate enough to park nearby. Please note that it may be difficult to find a parking spot if you arrive late.
Ticket Collection
Ticket collection is available from 12:00 PM. Those who purchased tickets online can collect them after ID verification at the respective booths. Make sure to check the designated collection point for each booth.
The ticket was a wristband. After collecting the tickets with my daughter, we took a commemorative photo and entered. The performance starts at 2:00 PM, and ticket issuance starts at 12:00 PM, so we had about two hours to spare.
Venue Information
We also took commemorative photos at the photo zone prepared at the entrance. The weather was so nice that just looking at the sky made me feel good. However, the scorching heat was unavoidable.
Various store booths were busy preparing. I could see familiar booths as local Yeosu stores participated.
There was also an outdoor table zone where you could watch the performance with a cold beer. It was empty before the performance started, but the seats were full in the afternoon.
A promotional booth was also set up to promote the 2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition. The phrase 'It would take a full year to see each of the 365 islands' was unique. There was also a space for children, with a water play area and amusement rides.
Event performances also took place before the main show. The performers were amazing, working hard despite the intense heat. I cheered them on with enthusiastic applause.
Food Court
The food court zone was located separately behind the performance stage. The long line of food trucks was impressive, reflecting the scale of this festival. I liked that there was a variety of options and that it was well-organized.
From simple snacks to cool drinks and ice cream, there was a wide variety, and the space was large, making it very convenient to use. It was also convenient that the performance venue and the food court were operated separately. Re-entry was possible as long as I showed my wristband. It was an invincible wristband.
Before the main performance, we had a hot dog and watermelon juice at the food court. I was happy that the prices were more reasonable than I expected. A hot dog was 6,000 won, and watermelon juice was also 6,000 won. The watermelon juice was made with fresh fruit that was blended on the spot, which was great. When using the food court, it was convenient to order and pay with a QR code.
Start of the Main Performance
Here is the line-up for the main performance on July 26th: Starting with Beatpella House, a group featuring the beatboxer Wing, followed by VIXX's Ken, New Beat, Park Chang-geun, Bumjin, Lee Mu-jin, Chen, Jung Woo-seok, Hwang Ga-ram, 10cm, and FT Island.
The amazing performance starts with Dopamine, who is gaining popularity these days. Many people recognized them, and the main performance began with enthusiastic cheers.
As the performance progressed, it became darker. The reason why I could enjoy the festival even in the heat was because there was a resting area right next to it. There was a separate area with cool air conditioning, so it was great for cooling off for a while when it got too hot while watching the performance.
Nam Gyu-ri from SeeYa, who was the event emcee, also gave an impromptu performance. She still delights the audience with her beautiful looks and voice.
10cm's performance followed. The water cannons that went off in the middle of the performance added to the coolness. A midsummer night's performance enjoyed with many people!!! Maybe it's because of the romance of Yeosu, but it was a more emotional time.
The last performance was by FT Island. The band's sound was already crazy. I sang and jumped together and enjoyed it like crazy. It was a stage worthy of decorating the finale.
I enjoyed a beautiful summer night, jumping, playing, and singing together. The heat was not a problem at all.
The finale was a drone show!!!
A drone show made with the representative songs of today's performers!! It made it impossible to leave until the end.

From families who spread out mats and watched together, to people watching from the draft beer booth tables, to people watching in the VIP room with cool air conditioning, to people enjoying while sitting on benches, to people like us enjoying by jumping in the standing seats, it was nice to see everyone enjoying the festival in their own way.

The performance, which started at 2:00 PM, ended at 10:00 PM. It was a great value for money to be able to enjoy such a great performance at this price.
