Hello everyone! :)
I'm Naminami, a travel influencer!! ❤️
Among the many places to visit in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, Wonju is a popular choice these days!
This time, I'd like to introduce Museum SAN and the newly emerging Glacier Art Museum in Wonju for those who want to make the most of a day trip.
Both places have different atmospheres, with plenty to enjoy, including exhibitions, cafes, and souvenirs.
It was a course that made me think, "Ah, this is why people visit Wonju."

The first place I visited was the Glacier Art Museum!
As the name suggests, it's a cool and mysterious space, especially popular as a place to hang out in Wonju during the summer.
Inside, you'll find an exhibition that recreates the blue light of an actual glacier, creating a dreamy atmosphere as if you've entered another world.
The exhibition hall itself is a photo zone. The corridors filled with blue light and ice sculpture-like installations create a great atmosphere for taking pictures.
It was especially great for taking emotional shots with a partner or friends.
There are plenty of things to see for families with children, making it a must-visit destination in Wonju.
The Glacier Art Museum has very diverse exhibitions, and the atmosphere varies greatly from space to space, making it fun to explore.
The exhibitions weren't just about looking at paintings; they were immersive and experiential, which made them even more enjoyable.
I think people of all ages will like it. It's the perfect place to visit in Wonju, especially in the summer heat.
The exhibition featured many works with vibrant colors that naturally caught my eye.
Each piece expressed light and color differently, allowing me to feel new emotions with every glance.
A must-visit place in the Glacier Art Museum is the cafe.
The most striking features of the cafe space are the glacier sculptures and cute penguin objects.
The cool atmosphere from the Wonju art museum exhibition continues, making you feel like you've stepped into another work of art just by sitting there.
The quality of the drinks and desserts is also quite good. There's a signature menu prepared separately, which adds to the fun of connecting with the exhibition theme.
Enjoying a cool iced drink with a sweet dessert after the exhibition was the perfect way to end the day.
This Wonju trip was more fulfilling thanks to the Glacier Art Museum.
I highly recommend it to those looking for unique things to see in Wonju.

The next place I visited was Museum SAN, a popular attraction in Wonju, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province.
There were various discounts available for Museum SAN admission tickets.
Gangwon residents, seniors, disabled individuals, veterans, and military personnel on mandatory service can receive a 20% discount.
Police officers even get a 50% discount.
As the name suggests, Museum SAN is an "art museum built on a mountain."
Designed by architect Ando Tadao, its unique architectural beauty captivated me from the moment I entered.
The architecture, nestled in the open foothills, was so beautiful, and the harmony between nature and the building was so picturesque that just walking around was healing.
The reason I liked this place was that it wasn't just an art museum where you simply look at exhibitions, but every space, from the building to the paths and gardens, felt like a work of art.
The photos turned out beautifully no matter where I took them, so I kept my camera with me.
Moreover, with the sculpture park, meditation garden, and main exhibition hall, every corner is a photo zone and a resting place, making it a truly recommendable place to visit in Wonju.
The indoor exhibitions also change seasonally, and I was able to see a variety of works, from modern art to paintings and installations.
Currently, an exhibition related to paper is being held at Museum SAN, and the children seemed to enjoy it very much.
It wasn't just about appreciating the works, but also about seeing the various textures and expressions of paper up close, which gave it an educational feel, and there was also an experience space.
After looking around, I understood why people recommend Museum SAN as a must-visit place in Wonju, Gangwon-do.
With the beauty of the building itself, the depth of the exhibitions, and the time to rest in nature, it's a great place for dates, family trips, and solo healing.
One of the most impressive places in Museum SAN was the cafe.
The interior is sophisticated and pleasant, but the outdoor terrace is a space you shouldn't miss.
You can enjoy coffee while looking at the mountains and sky from the tables located on the water that continues like an infinity pool, and at that moment, you can truly feel the relaxation of being on a trip.
The quality of the drinks and desserts is also good, so you can solve your Wonju entertainment all at once without having to go to a separate cafe!
The finale is, of course, the souvenir shop!
You can feel the lingering impression even more by looking around the souvenir shop after touring the Wonju Art Museum.
From cute accessories to stylish design goods, there was a variety to see, which made it fun just to browse.
After visiting Museum SAN and the Glacier Art Museum in Wonju as a day trip, I really felt the saying, "Recommended place to visit in Wonju, Gangwon-do."
Additionally, it is possible to enjoy Museum SAN at a more reasonable price if you find discounts for Museum SAN admission tickets online in advance, so please refer to this.
I would like to recommend this Wonju travel course to those who want to enjoy Wonju attractions at once.
