Woke up refreshed to a brilliant sunshine, intensely bright from the morning.

After taking care of some business (emptying the stomach), I had a cup ramen for breakfast and headed to Seoraksan National Park to ride the cable car up to Gwongeumseong Fortress! On the way to Sogongwon...

I was overwhelmed by the magnificent rock walls! So moved to see Ulsanbawi Rock so close!

I took the first cable car up to Gwongeumseong Fortress, and explored Aniram Hermitage and Muhaksong Pine Tree before heading back down. The grandeur of the 1275 Peak, Nahanbong Peak, Biseondae Rocks, and the Dinosaur Ridge, as seen from Gwongeumseong, makes you feel so small as a human being.

Cute mountain goat mascot!

Dreamlike Moment

We visited the Central Market to buy sundae (Korean sausage) stuffed squid and shrimp chips that my son wanted. (I wanted to try Abai hoe-guksu (cold raw fish noodles), but the wait was 2 hours ㅠ)

Finally, we had a delicious plate of spicy raw fish bibim-makguksu (buckwheat noodles) at Beombau Makguksu, which I found through searching. And then headed back to Wonju. Thanks, Mongppa, for driving so quickly and diligently on the local roads! ❤️
