As a resident of Siheung, Gyeonggi-do,

I've planned a great driving route for you!

Forget the usual Oido and Daebudo.

Let's go to Ganghwa Island!

Escape the weekday work, shopping mall crowds,

and take a day trip to somewhere peaceful!

We went on Liberation Day, so the roads were jammed everywhere,

but surprisingly, the roads to Ganghwa Island were wide open, so we went!

First, we enjoyed lunch at a local Chinese restaurant!

It was my first time trying cold soybean noodle soup (Kongguksu).

Not bad at all! ?

(I'm on team sugar.)

Siheung -> Ganghwa Island is probably about an hour away.

We set Jeondeungsa Temple as our destination and headed off.

My mom is a famous weather fairy.

It was pouring rain back home while we were eating jjajangmyeon,

but within 10 minutes of leaving, the sun was shining brightly!

Mysterious appearance

We paid 3,000 won for parking and walked up to Jeondeungsa Temple.

Looking for cute monks on the way to the temple.

I love these walking paths.

Is that valley water coming down from the mountain?

A centuries-old ginkgo tree.

A ginkgo tree that has experienced all the changes in the world.

Impressive appearance

Cute carp and goldfish (?) in a small pond in front of Jukrim Dawon (tea house).

And a pond reflecting the sky.

A tea house at the entrance.

When I went inside, I saw a Blue Ribbon sticker!

It was such a nice place to have mugwort rice cake and a glass of lemonade.

If I go again, I'd like to go in the breezy autumn to have warm tea and

eat mugwort rice cake.

Happy moment

A picture of my mom before entering Jeondeungsa Temple.

There are several small buildings, and it's nice to look around each one and clear your mind.

A protected tree covered in moss.

It's like a work of art.

Warm memories

A tree seen from a high place.

People sheltering from the sun underneath it.

Huisook-ssi praying.

A bell swaying in the breeze.

Beautiful scenery

After seeing Jeondeungsa Temple, it was too hot to walk around outside,

so we went to the Incheon Sanghoe Museum.

A place that exhibits old snacks, alcohol, and other items.

The entrance fee is 8,000 won, but it wasn't worth it for me.

What's most amazing is how they collected all of this?

The design of the Bboppona Candy I saw here was so cute.

We quickly looked around and went to Seokmodo Island!

A great course for a drive.

We stopped by Seokmodo Island for a drive,

and ended the day with a dinner of mulhoe (spicy raw fish soup) and sweet and sour marinated gizzard shad from Seoul Seafood Restaurant.

Happy ending to the day!

Oh, and my mom told me about Osipseju (50-year-old liquor). haha

Does anyone know this?

Mixing Baeksseju (Korean rice wine) and soju half and half

is very good.

Recommended if you like sake-like liquor.

A stylish day trip course:

Ganghwa Island Jeondeungsa Temple -> Incheon Sanghoe -> Seokmodo Island Drive -> Seoul Seafood Restaurant Mulhoe

If you go in the fall or winter...

Highly recommend Seokmodo Mineral Hot Springs.

The open-air bath view is amazing.

You can go with your boyfriend, family, everyone.
