Hello!

I'm 'Traveling Cheol-i', a travel influencer.

When the chilly air of early winter arrives,

a certain city naturally comes to mind.

It's Chuncheon, a charming place with sunlight reflecting on the calm lake.

This time, I took a day trip to two places that make early winter in Chuncheon even more special:

Uiamho Skywalk and Chuncheon National Museum.

These two must-visit places in Chuncheon are

about a 20-minute drive apart, making them perfect for a day trip.

Chapter 1. Uiamho Skywalk

486, Chiljeon-dong, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do

As a representative lake of Chuncheon, Uiamho

is charming no matter when you visit.

Among them, Uiamho Skywalk is

a famous spot where you can feel the lake up close.

The long promenade extends into the middle of the lake,

and at the end, the scenery unfolds over a transparent glass floor.

The parking lot is right at the entrance,

making the route very convenient after arrival.

Walking along the bike path for about 3 minutes,

the Skywalk reveals its appearance,

and the clear weather, like the first snow,

made my heart feel open just by looking at the surrounding scenery.

Changing into the provided slippers at the entrance and

stepping onto the transparent glass floor,

you'll feel like you're floating on the lake,

and the Samaksan Mountain range unfolds like a panorama.

On days when the water is calm, the mountains and sky are reflected on the surface of the lake,

creating a cool scene no matter where you take a picture.

I was able to capture the scenery leisurely as there weren't many people in the morning.

It is recommended to visit with plenty of time

as there may be a wait on weekends.

Standing for a while at the end of the Skywalk,

the tranquility of the lake and the mountain range blended together,

making me feel like the stress was flying away.

After enjoying the Skywalk sufficiently,

it is good to walk along the surrounding trails.

There is a 6km walking path that leads to Uiam Dam and Gongjicheon,

but this time I took a light look around and returned to the Skywalk.

Uiamho Skywalk is free to use,

but pets are not allowed,

and use may be restricted in case of rain, so please keep that in mind.

Chapter 2. Chuncheon National Museum

70, Useok-ro, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do

Another great course to visit along with the Skywalk is the Chuncheon National Museum.

It is a space where you can deeply encounter the history and culture of the Gangwon region,

and it is also a popular place for family trips with children.

The first thing that catches your eye when you open the door is

the magnificent media art that fills the ceiling.

I couldn't leave my seat for a while because the video and music were in harmony.

There are also seats for viewing, so you can relax and watch comfortably.

The full-fledged exhibition is held in the permanent exhibition hall on the first floor.

From the prehistoric and ancient culture of Gangwon to relics by era, it is systematically exhibited,

and as I read the explanations, the lifestyle and customs of the time were naturally drawn in my head.

In particular, it is educational for students and children,

so I immediately understood why there are so many family visitors.

The atmosphere becomes even more special when you go up to the second floor.

The Five Hundred Arhat Statues are exhibited in the brand room,

and the statues are illuminated by spotlights in a dark space, giving it a mysterious feel.

The Buddha statues, viewed in the quiet air, felt alive and vibrant.

The permanent exhibition hall across the street covers the medieval and modern times of Gangwon,

so I was able to view local cultural properties at a glance.

The exhibition scale and composition are excellent despite the free exhibition,

so I would like to recommend you to visit it during your Chuncheon trip.

Chuncheon National Museum opening hours are

09:00~18:00, closed every Monday, so please check before visiting.

Chapter 3. Overall Review

Uiamho Skywalk and the National Museum in Chuncheon,

It was a day where I directly felt 'why these two places are ranked 1st and 2nd among the best places to visit in Chuncheon'.

The cool scenery of the Skywalk, where you feel like you are walking on the lake, and

the calm sensibility of the museum are naturally connected,

making it a great combination for a day trip.

It's a 20-minute drive away, so the route is neat,

and it was a satisfying destination to travel with friends, lovers, or family.

If you are planning a trip to Chuncheon

on the way to winter, be sure to add these two places to your list.

It will surely be a memorable day.
