Hello!
I'm Kkachilgaengi, here to share my travel stories with a touch of edgy sensibility.
Today, I'm excited to share my experience at Cheorwon's festival, brimming with autumn flowers. Let me tell you about enjoying the beautiful flower gardens to your heart's content! Let's dive into the vivid details of the festival.
Has the continuous rain been making you feel gloomy?
Luckily, the forecast was clear for the weekend, so I happily visited the Goseokjeong Flower Garden Festival in Cheorwon. It was truly a healing experience surrounded by autumn blooms.

Here's a glimpse of the colorful autumn flowers at Goseokjeong Flower Garden. I visited on Saturday, October 18, 2025, and the flowers were still so vibrant! I heard they'll be beautiful until early November, so hurry if you haven't been yet!
Parking Information
Parking: Large parking lot available, with parking attendants
The parking lot is incredibly spacious. Despite its size, it was packed with visitors every weekend. On the day I went (Saturday), it was especially crowded.
This Cheorwon trip was organized by Baeksukhyun Experience Tours, a rural experience travel agency. Thanks to Cheorwon-gun's support, I was able to enjoy an affordable trip. After getting off the bus, we headed to the flower garden with a guide.
Entrance Booth
Admission Fees: 10,000 KRW (Adults), 8,000 KRW (Adult Group), 4,000 KRW (Ages 7-18), 3,000 KRW (Children Group)
Here's the path to Goseokjeong Flower Garden. There was a separate path leading directly from the parking lot, though it wasn't the main entrance. Many people entered this way due to its convenience.
Following the signs, we reached a road with safety personnel, which was reassuring. A short walk further led us to the ticket booth, where many people were purchasing tickets on-site.
Entrance & Facilities Information
Restrooms: Located to the right after entering, next to the thatched-roof house. There are also restrooms near the windmill on the hill.
Tin Can Train: Boarding is available in front of the main gate.
Immediately to the right upon entering is a rest area, with restrooms next to it. There was an attendant maintaining the restrooms, making them surprisingly clean for portable facilities.
Goseokjeong Flower Garden Tour
I was immediately captivated by the scenery. The sheer scale of the flower garden was breathtaking. Although I wished for better weather, I was grateful it wasn't raining after days of downpours.
I was worried it would start raining at any moment, but fortunately, it didn't. This allowed me to take my time exploring. I separated from the group and enjoyed some solo time. Armed with my selfie stick, I confidently walked into the flower garden.
The Goseokjeong Autumn Flower Festival, Cheorwon's representative autumn festival, attracts a huge number of visitors every year.
I visit every year, but this year was a bit different. Not having to drive was convenient, and I enjoyed the simplicity of following the package tour's itinerary.
The sight of the flowers resembling a red carpet made me snap photos quickly. To see everything in the given time, I needed to move faster, but I opted for a more relaxed pace. Instead of trying to see it all, I chose to fully enjoy the experience within the time I had.
Although there were some slopes, they weren't too steep, so many families with elderly parents visited. Many of the people on the tour buses were older as well. Watching them leisurely enjoy themselves and take photos brought a smile to my face.
The cute tin can train passed by the windmill in the distance. The cheerful music and the ride itself seemed popular, as many people were riding it.
I heard the garden transforms with lights at night, so if you have the time, it's worth seeing the illuminated display. The sculptures around me will soon become glowing art pieces.
Simply being there was charming enough. Being surrounded by flowers instantly lifted my spirits.
Some of the flowers were starting to wilt. The cosmos, my favorite autumn flower, were already gone. If I had come a bit earlier, I could have seen them swaying in the breeze...
Photo Zone - Photography Tips
First and foremost, I recommend taking pictures at the photo zones with sculptures. These are the most picturesque spots.
Everyone knows that photos are the best souvenirs, right?
When taking photos in the flower garden, try to match the height to capture more of the background, making the photos look more stunning.
I took many photos for others while I was there, and everyone was amazed. They said the photos were so beautiful and thanked me with lots of candy and chocolate.
This area was also a great photo zone. Behind the pink muhly grass was a pavilion. You can take beautiful photos sitting or standing. The windmill is also a great backdrop. Having it in the background creates lovely photos.
Photos of the tin can train also turn out surprisingly well. The colorful train makes for vibrant, eye-catching pictures. The thatched-roof house with the Little Prince hidden inside is another photo spot. Travel back to your childhood and snap a shot with the Little Prince!
A great tip for taking photos in the flower garden is to walk on the ridges between the flower beds. They are wide enough to walk on without stepping on the flowers.
These are some photos I took of myself using my selfie stick. As I was taking photos, I noticed people stopping and watching. Nine times out of ten, they would ask me to take their photo. Many people asked me to take their pictures after seeing me taking my own. Despite my modest skills, I happily obliged. Knowing how much they wanted to capture beautiful photos in such a beautiful place, I enjoyed helping them while exploring the flower garden.
Visit Before Early November!
The festival is open until early November, so there's still plenty of time to visit. Many flowers are still in full bloom.
The Kochia scoparia are just starting to turn red, so you'll be able to see beautiful flowers even in November.
Now that the busy Chuseok holiday is over, why not take some time to relax and enjoy the flowers?
