A Beautiful Space by Tapjeongho Lake
Tapjeongho Lake offers a stunning view in a wonderful space.
Located at 238-5 Jongyeon-ri, Gayagok-myeon, Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, the Water Light Complex Culture Center opened its doors last June.
The center features an exhibition hall on the second floor, which is currently hosting its second exhibition following the opening event.
Built on a slope, the entrance to the center is at the basement level, where parking is also available.
Crossing the road in front of the basement level leads directly to Tapjeongho Lake.
Public buses pass by this area, making it convenient to reach the Water Light Complex Culture Center.
The nearest bus stop is 'Jongyeon-ri', located about 150 meters from the center.
Visitors can enjoy beautiful scenery by crossing the road from the center.
As autumn approaches, many people stroll along the walking path around Tapjeongho Lake, soaking in the seasonal atmosphere.
If you feel thirsty while walking, there is a water dispenser available at the entrance of the center.
Next to the photo zone for the Book Culture Festival, you can find a banner introducing the current exhibitions in the center.
What are the operating hours of the Water Light Complex Culture Center?
The center is closed on Mondays and public holidays, but on open days, it operates from 10 AM to 7 PM, with free admission and parking.
The center consists of three floors above the basement. Let's start from the first floor.
The first floor features a lounge, nursing room, creative room, and seminar room.
These spaces provide residents with opportunities for lectures and relaxation.
On the first floor, the lounge includes a set of tables and chairs, a television monitor for viewing videos, a water dispenser, and a microwave.
Mothers can warm formula in the nursing room while enjoying the facilities.
From the lounge, you can step out onto the balcony to enjoy the refreshing breeze from Tapjeongho Lake.
On the second floor, there are plans to create a book café named 'Mulbitmaru' by 2026, which will have a high ceiling suitable for events.
The second floor also houses two exhibition halls, currently showcasing individual exhibitions by artists Lee Hye-kyung and Woo Hyun-jin.
Lee Hye-kyung's exhibition, titled 'Painting Dreams', focuses on human emotions and inner struggles.
Meanwhile, Woo Hyun-jin presents traditional Korean paintings, hoping to evoke a sense of peace and connection through the simplicity and depth of folk art.
On the third floor, you will find the Mulbit Small Library and a community room, designed in a modern style.
The library offers a cozy atmosphere to read while enjoying the scenic views of Tapjeongho Lake.
Various books, including pop-up Harry Potter picture books, are available for visitors.
Visitors can spend a delightful autumn day reading and enjoying the beautiful scenery outside.
