Looking for things to do in Jeju Aewol? I recently visited 981 Park in Jeju with my family, escaping the crowded holiday rush.
With three children in tow, I was looking for activities that everyone could enjoy. 981 Park turned out to be perfect – fun for adults and kids alike. The autumn atmosphere was enhanced by the fully bloomed eulalia grass, providing many opportunities for beautiful photos. I highly recommend visiting soon!

A Smart Playground for All Ages
981 Park in Aewol is located in Eoeum-ri, a recommended Jeju Island course surrounded by nature. It's close to attractions that are especially beautiful in the fall, such as Saebyeol Oreum and fields of eulalia grass. A shuttle bus service is also available for travelers without cars, operating round-trip from Jeju Airport.
1. Parking
The parking lot is spacious enough to accommodate many visitors. The upper section is closest to the entrance and tends to be busier, but even parking below only requires a 3-minute walk.
2. Ticket Types
As a new concept theme park for the whole family, 981 Park offers various ticket options:

Options include the latest game ticket battle package, an all-inclusive pass for everything in the park, an early bird discount for morning visitors, and a sunset racing pass for a romantic experience in the evening. The variety of choices was great.
3. Good News
Great news! The Pokemon-themed Meta Villa event, originally scheduled to end in October, has been extended until November 30th!
Pokemon characters are loved by all ages. With various programs and photo zones, it's a worthwhile place to visit in Jeju Aewol.
4. Sports Experience
My family decided to try the sports experiences first and headed to LAB 981. A tip: do this before the racing experience, as there are often tour groups there.
To participate, simply scan the bracelet you received upon entry. When it’s crowded, you can even use the tag to make a reservation, which is very convenient.
The sports lab offers a variety of experiences. It’s a great place to get active and enjoy Jeju Island activities like shooting, table tennis, baseball, and skiing, which are not easily accessible in everyday life.
Basketball and jumping activities were especially popular with the kids. The scoring and mission-based system made it even more engaging.
You can also find bumper cars, but these aren't the old-fashioned kind. These are modern, high-tech bumper cars where you battle against each other. Battles last for 2 minutes, and the top three scorers are announced, so everyone drives with determination.
Next up is baseball, which is very popular these days!
If I had to pick the three most fun games in the sports lab, baseball would be one of them.
My family loves baseball, and it feels more realistic because you're actually throwing baseballs.
For more fun, set your name to your favorite player's nickname before starting the game. Everyone knows Shohei Ohtani, right? My husband's favorite player, Ohtani, throws a 160km fastball... but he couldn't even reach 80km! He threw like that and ended up with a stiff shoulder the next day, haha.
The second highlight is the curling experience. As it gets colder, it's fun to watch winter sports, and this curling experience feels very realistic.
You throw the stone and quickly adjust the direction and speed with buttons. One person throws, and the other adjusts the buttons, promoting teamwork.
The third recommended Jeju Island activity is screen soccer.
A large screen displays free kick and penalty shootout modes. Don't think you can just do it casually. You need to kick the ball hard and accurately to trick the goalkeeper and score. So, concentrate!
5. Thrilling Racing
What do you think is a must-do activity in Jeju Island? I think it's the 981 sunset racing.
The racing experience allows you to enjoy Jeju's nature while driving. You can choose from three courses depending on the difficulty level, and even beginners can easily participate.
Especially during autumn, the eulalia grass is in full bloom along the tracks, creating a perfect fall driving experience. The rotating windmills, eulalia grass, and reed grass made me shout with joy and relieved my stress.
While racing, your 모습 is captured through a GoPro, and the staff will take beautiful photos for you before you get off :)
After releasing all that energy, my stomach started to rumble. Fortunately, there are places to grab a snack in the park, such as Booster Station and Onatz, so I quickly refueled and headed to the next course: survival.
6. Thrilling Laser Survival
Laser survival, which was included in the full package, was as thrilling as expected.
It was a solo game where I battled against strangers. I met some competitive foreign tourists and ran around like crazy.
We became extremely close and even took selfies at the end, feeling sad to say goodbye.
7. Trendy Brand Store
That's not all. 981 Park is also a great place to visit in Aewol because of its well-equipped facilities. The brand store sells Jeju souvenirs and 981 Park-related merchandise (clothing, GR car kits, etc.), making it a great place to shop.
The cafes and rest areas are perfect for relaxing. There are also booths and restaurants selling snacks and meals, so you don't have to worry about food. I spent about three hours there and was so engrossed in the activities that I didn't even realize how time flew by.
