2nd Seoul Runners Festival to be Held at Yeouido Park

The Seoul Metropolitan Government will host the '2nd Seoul Runners Festival' on April 26th at the Culture Plaza of Yeouido Park. This festival celebrates runners by providing a 'Runner Station' near Yeouinaru Station, equipped with baggage storage and changing rooms, allowing them to enjoy running at their leisure. A variety of programs are prepared for all citizens interested in running.
The main programs include the '10K Open Run,' 'Crew Ranking Battle,' and '100m Speed Challenge.' Participants can run a course starting at Yeouido Park, passing through various points, and returning to the festival venue. In particular, the 'Crew Ranking Battle' is conducted in teams, and the 'Running Crew of the Year' will be determined through competition between crews.
The festival also features 'Running Knowledge Classes' and hands-on programs necessary for runners, such as body analysis, post-exercise recovery methods, correct running posture analysis, and nutritional counseling. In addition, a special performance by the hip-hop dance crew 'J Black' is scheduled, which will further boost the enthusiasm of the participants.
3,000 pre-registered participants will receive special finisher souvenirs, snacks, and discount coupon books. All citizens can enjoy the festival for free. Gu Jong-won, Director of the Tourism and Sports Bureau of Seoul, stated that he aims to create a vibrant culture of daily sports in Seoul through this festival.
