2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition: A Celebration of Islands

The 2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition will be held for two months, starting on September 5th and running until November 4th!
The exhibition will take place at the main venue, Jinmo District, and the sub-venues, Geumodo Island, Gaedo Island, and the Yeosu World Expo site.
It will explore the infinite value and sustainability of islands.
Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, with its 365 islands, is a leading city in island tourism and development.
Befitting its brand as a marine tourism and resort city, Yeosu boasts excellent transportation and accommodation infrastructure.
Yeosu's excellent accessibility and convenient tourism infrastructure will make it even easier to attract visitors from around the world.
Of the 195 countries worldwide, 104 have islands.
For us, an island is not simply a small piece of land floating on the sea.
Through this exhibition, Yeosu aims to reveal the value of 'islands' on a national level, exchange ideas on the sustainability of islands with various countries, and become the first leader in drawing international attention to 'islands'.
The 2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition is planning a variety of island-related content.
It will feature exhibitions of video content related to the value, future, and culture of islands, and create themed zones where visitors can enjoy diverse traditional arts and foods of the islands.
Visitors can experience the unique island cultures of the world.
In addition, there will be a demonstration of the operation of a WIG craft, a futuristic means of transportation that will make island travel more convenient, an international forum to present the direction islands should take and discuss sustainability, and various cultural performances on the theme of islands.
Through the 2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition, we aim to welcome 3 million visitors from 30 countries, create a platform for international solidarity to discuss the value, sustainability, and development direction of 'islands', and lead a new trend in 'island' tourism, as well as generate additional economic benefits.
