Riding the Han River Bus: A Scenic Trip from Apgujeong to Ttukseom

The Han River Bus started its pilot operation on September 18th. I had heard of Han River taxis before, but I was curious about how the bus would operate.
Last weekend, the weather was so lovely that I decided to head to the Han River. There was the Mureungdowon Festival happening, so it was a good opportunity to visit.
Departure from Apgujeong Pier!
The Han River Bus is quite popular these days, so it's a good idea to arrive early. I arrived about 40 minutes before the departure time and waited. The bus was a bit delayed, so I ended up waiting for about an hour. The fare is 3,000 won (card payment).
I decided to go from Apgujeong to Ttukseom.
The Han River Bus has a slightly retro look.
The interior was spacious, and there were quite a few seats.
The Han River was a bit murky because it had rained the day before.
But the sky was mostly clear with beautiful blue skies!
I went out to the front of the boat to feel the Han River breeze. It reminded me of taking Han River cruises when I was younger. The atmosphere on the Han River Bus is great!
We even waved and greeted passengers on the Han River Bus going in the opposite direction!
I could see Seoul Forest in Seongsu-dong, Galleria Foret, and Acro Seoul Forest.
I could also see the Lotte World Tower in Jamsil in the distance.
It's fun to see Seoul landmarks while riding the Han River Bus. The harmony of the blue sky and the tall buildings is amazing.
Arrival at Ttukseom!
The pier is near Jayang Station (Line 7), which resembles a spaceship.
As I got off, I could see the Jamsil Olympic Stadium and leisurely duck boats in the distance.
Ttukseom is the perfect place to spend time with kids, with playgrounds, large gardens, squares, forests, and lawns. I had fun inline skating and playing with water droplets at Ttukseom!
A building has been recently constructed on the river and there's a Starbucks. I enjoyed some 'Han River Mung' while drinking my beverage.
Ttukseom has changed a lot in the last decade or so. There are more facilities for children, and there are various themes to enjoy, making it a popular place for people of all ages.
I finished the day with some ramyeon after playing and exercising at Ttukseom. Why does cup ramyeon taste better when you eat it by the Han River?
The long, hot summer is over, and it feels good now that it's cooler. There are many events happening everywhere because it's festival season. It feels like the end of the year will be here soon! Time flies by so fast. I'll have to visit the Han River more often before it gets too cold.
