Coex Mall, Asem Tower, and Starfield Coex Mall Parking Guide: Fees and Discounts
서울특별시 강남구 영동대로 517 아셈타워

This guide explains how to use parking facilities around COEX Mall, including Coex Mall, Asem Tower(아셈타워), and Starfield Coex, with a focus on parking difficulty, fees, and available discounts.
The COEX area is one of Seoul’s most congested zones due to offices, convention events, Megabox cinema, and the aquarium, combined with ongoing road construction near Samseong Station.
Understanding which gate to use, where to park, and how to apply discounts can save significant time and stress when visiting COEX.
Why parking around COEX is always congested
The COEX complex includes Megabox, COEX Aquarium, and a large MICE convention center, which causes heavy traffic on both weekdays and weekends.
In addition, construction of Hyundai Motor Group’s headquarters on the former KEPCO site and roadwork near Bongeunsa Temple have made the Samseong Station intersection one of the most congested areas in Seoul.

COEX parking lot entry structure
The COEX parking facility consists of rooftop parking and underground levels from B2 to B4.
There are five main entry gates, all connected to Trade Tower, COEX, COEX Mall, and Asem Tower. Choosing the correct gate based on your destination is critical.
For Megabox or COEX Aquarium, the North Gate is the most convenient, while the West Gate or Asem Tower Gate is better for convention center visitors.

Asem Tower gate parking experience
When approaching from the Yangjae direction, a U-turn at Bongeunsa Station leads naturally to the Asem Tower Gate.
The entry and exit lanes are shared here, with standard road width and no steep ramps, but drivers should proceed slowly due to oncoming traffic.
The facility itself is old, and overall cleanliness is not great, though the removal of outdated lighting has slightly improved visibility.

Asem Tower parking zone overview
Parking areas connected to Asem Tower are marked with orange pillars.
As an office building, Asem Tower parking fills up quickly on weekday afternoons, often resulting in double parking.
If you plan to visit Asem Tower, allow extra time to find a spot.
However, parking here is inconvenient if your destination is COEX Mall, as the internal routes are indirect and require a long walk.

COEX Mall parking zones and layout
COEX Mall parking areas are marked with blue pillars.
On weekdays, parking availability is generally good, and space width is reasonable, making parking easier compared to Asem Tower.
Zone 51E on Basement Level 1 is convenient for COEX Hall B and still within walking distance of Hall A.

COEX parking fees and discount options
COEX parking fees are 1,500 won per 15 minutes, equivalent to 6,000 won per hour, with a maximum daily fee of 60,000 won.
Only disabled individuals and veterans receive a 50 percent discount. Electric and hybrid vehicles are not eligible for discounts.
Payments can be made at unattended kiosks, or through Kakao T Parking Pass, which offers a 20 percent discount with prepayment via notification.

Parking discounts for Megabox and COEX Aquarium
Megabox COEX visitors receive four hours of parking for 4,800 won for movies ending before 10 PM.
For movies ending after 10 PM, four hours cost 2,400 won, and entry after 10 PM includes four hours of free parking.
COEX Aquarium visitors can enter the last four digits of their license plate at the discount device inside the aquarium to receive four hours for 4,800 won.
Electric vehicle charging stations at COEX
The Trade Center rapid charging station operated by Happycharger is located at the COEX B3 Live Zone parking area, with 20 rapid chargers.
Slow chargers operated by Chargev are available on the rooftop parking lot with nine chargers, and at COEX B3 Live Zone with 24 chargers.
