Unboxing the Limited Edition: Muyz's 20th Anniversary Miniature Pensive Bodhisattva Figurine
New merchandise from Muyz, released in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Yongsan National Museum!
This is the 'Maeum (Heart)' series miniature Pensive Bodhisattva figurine, sporting a K-heart!
It's a collaboration product between the Pensive Bodhisattva and Choi Goshim.
It was released in blue, green, and pink, and sold out immediately at the Muyz shop...
But I managed to snag one!
I barely got my hands on it after an 'open run' at the National Museum of Korea.
The price is the same as Muyz's: ₩65,000.
After agonizing over the colors, I chose the cute pink one.
Each part of the case has a different illustration.
As much as it emphasizes the collaboration between Muyz and Choi Goshim...
There are adorable Choi Goshim drawings.
The figurines in green, blue and pink all have different poses and details.
But I definitely don't regret my choice.
How could you resist a Pensive Bodhisattva doing a K-heart?
Shy shy, but it's my heart!

Looking at the character, I want to buy the green and blue ones too.
But it's too expensive to buy all three...
Opening the pink case reveals a white box inside.
Inside, there's custom-fit cushioning.
It's a custom case as if preserving a real artifact.
I can feel how much effort Muyz put into it.
I feel like the quality is definitely worth the price.
Included with the Pensive Bodhisattva are four cards.
Two character cards and two actual photos of the Pensive Bodhisattva.
The back contains Choi Goshim's charm, an explanation of the Pensive Bodhisattva, and the planning intention.
It reminds us of the importance of its meaning and value as a national cultural heritage.
Since the card is pink, I think the green and blue ones will have different cards.
I wish they included all the cards... It's a shame.
The Pensive Bodhisattva is packaged in multiple layers.
The moment it's revealed...
...the mesmerizing quality of the radiant pink.
The high quality makes the ₩65,000 price tag feel worth it.
If you give it as a gift to people around you, especially foreign friends...
...it would be a meaningful gift.

The radiant hand shape perfectly attached to the cheek.
The quality is really good from any angle.
Most figures or miniatures...
...always have parts that you don't like.
But truly, I can only admire it no matter which part I look at.
Down to the details of the Pensive Bodhisattva's base.
It feels like the magnificent crown and clothing folds I saw in the Room of Contemplation at the National Museum of Korea, National Treasure No. 78, are perfectly recreated.
