Chasing the Dubai Chocolate Craze: A Treat Hunt in Jamsil

Lately, I've been completely obsessed with Dubai chocolate!
While searching for more Dubai chocolate goodies, I stumbled upon a cream-filled cornet pastry shop at Lotte Department Store in Jamsil. Their marketing claims that BTS's J-Hope bought a whole bunch of them!
Whether it's true or not, they definitely succeeded in making me curious about the taste...! Hehe.
The bakery is called Kim's Deli Market.
At first, I thought it was located on the B1 floor of Lotte World Mall, but it's actually on the B1 floor of the department store.
Take Exit 4 of Jamsil Station and head towards Lotte World Adventure, you'll find it along the way.
I arrived around 4:40-4:50 PM on a Sunday and immediately looked for the Dubai chocolate cornet, but to my surprise...!!!
They had white chocolate, matcha, and pistachio cream-filled cornets, but no Dubai chocolate.
I wanted to try the white chocolate and matcha cornets too, but I resisted for dinner...
I hope I get a chance to try all the other breads next time!
For the Dubai chocolate cornet, I naturally ordered an iced Americano.
As I was waiting for my drink after finding a seat, a line suddenly formed around 5:10 PM (?)
It was a line for the Dubai chocolate cornet, with people ordering to-go and some customers like me in the store.
I hesitated for a moment, then quickly jumped in line, but later I realized I probably didn't need to.
There was plenty of stock, and even after everyone in line had bought theirs, there were still quite a few left...!! (Although people kept coming to buy them.)
For reference, there's a limit of 2 per person.
Finally, I got my hands on the Dubai chocolate cornet!!!!!

Inside view:
The outside is coated in chocolate, and the inside is filled with crunchy kataifi, making it so delicious.
I want to go back and eat it again!
Next time, I'm going to try the Godiva chocolate and matcha cornets...! My teacher in the office recommended the matcha cornet as being really delicious, so my expectations keep rising, haha.
I couldn't forget the taste of Longde May's Dubai chewy cookie, so I've been recommending it to everyone I meet and talking about it at school. One of my students recommended a cookie shop near the school for me ☺️
The cookie shop is called Scoopkey. After hearing about it from the student, I also randomly saw posts recommending it on Instagram, and realized it's quite a famous place.
It's famous as a dessert 맛집 in Cheoin-gu, Yongin!

Since it's exam period this week and only a 15-minute drive from school, I left work early at 1 PM today and rushed over there.
There's also parking in front of the store, so it's great for a quick stop and takeout.

My main goal was the Dubai chocolate cookie, but all the cookies looked so delicious that I almost bought them all...

They had so many Dubai treats, like Dubai tart, Dubai brownie, and Dubai chocolate, but I'm all about the Dubai chewy cookie, haha.
I bought the matcha Oreo, which my student strongly recommended, the egg tart that my mom loves, and my beloved peanut Nutella, along with the Dubai chewy cookie.

Dubai Chewy Cookie: ₩4,500
Egg Tart: ₩3,500
Matcha Oreo: ₩2,700
Peanut Nutella: ₩2,700
That's what I bought!

Pretty!
As soon as I got home, I immediately tried the Dubai chewy cookie, and it was bigger than I expected!

The outer layer is really thin, soft, and super chewy!!
The inside is also packed with kataifi.

The Dubai chewy cookie was delicious, but (I liked Longde May's more...
The ganache or chocolate on the outside had a richer taste).
Personally, I think the regular cookies were more delicious, haha.
Especially the matcha Oreo that my student recommended!

Slightly bitter, sweet, crunchy, and fudgy!

Recommended if you like matcha!!!!
