Park Bom Files Lawsuit Against Yang Hyun Suk for Alleged Fraud and Embezzlement
Park Bom, formerly of the group 2NE1, surprised fans on the 22nd by suddenly releasing a complaint against YG Entertainment's CEO and producer, Yang Hyun Suk, for 'fraud and embezzlement'.
Park Bom posted an image of the complaint on Instagram with the caption:
“From Park Bom, From Bom Park”
The complaint listed 'Park Bom' as the plaintiff and 'Yang Hyun Suk' as the defendant.
The publicly released complaint contained Park Bom's key allegations.
She stated,
"The defendant has not fairly paid the plaintiff for the profits generated from all activities, including music, performances, broadcasts, advertisements, and events in which the plaintiff participated,"
and claimed,
"The amount is estimated to be approximately '64272e trillion won'."
She added,
"YG has never provided a statement of accounts, causing significant financial loss and mental distress.
This constitutes clear fraud and embezzlement."
The complaint appears to be dated October 19th, and a document presumed to be signed by Park Bom was released.
Fans reacted with surprise to Park Bom's sudden release of the complaint, commenting, "What's going on?", "A legal dispute with YG is shocking", and "I'm worried because her health isn't good."
YG Entertainment has not yet released an official statement on the matter.
Currently, Park Bom has temporarily suspended all activities and is resting.
Her agency, D-NATION Entertainment, stated,
"She recently received an opinion from medical staff that she needs sufficient rest and stability.
Unfortunately, she will not be able to participate in future schedules."
2NE1, which Park Bom belonged to, officially concluded its activities with the 'Waterbomb Busan 2025' stage last July.
