She revealed, "A year and a half ago, I went to Kenya with KBS as a World Vision ambassador and met two children. After their mother passed away, they were making and eating charcoal to survive."

The released photos show the two boys she met at the time, Daniel and Maurice, smiling barefoot alongside Jo Hye-ryun and her husband.
