Doyoung 'Yours' Concert Review: Still Recovering (Can We Go Back?)
Writing this concert review while still suffering from concert aftereffects (Can we go back?).
When I first tried to buy tickets, I accidentally booked for October 10th (Friday) instead of the 11th (Saturday). I thought I couldn't make it to Yeongjongdo by 7 PM since my class ended at 5 PM on Friday, so I didn't deposit the money and canceled it...ㅜ But it turned out it was a holiday weekend, and a week before, there was an announcement that Friday's class was canceled!! So I got a resale ticket!! (at face value, of course) Originally, it was a 2-day concert, but Doyoung added another show because he didn't want anyone to miss out!! (Wish could open up more seats too, just give us concerts every weekend for a month) I was scheduled to go to the second show and managed to get a general admission ticket on the first floor!!
Ugh...
But on the way there, several unfortunate events occurred: the battery cover of my light stick keyring disappeared...and the light stick button was pressed in my bag, so I was walking around with a bag emitting neogreen light...Walking around with the light stick on is...okay, but I can't get the battery cover separately, so that's too bad ㅜ
Arrived at Inspire Arena, struggling
Left home at 2:30 PM and took bus 1113-1 > transferred to Line 5 at Gangdong Station > transferred to the Airport Railroad at Gongdeok Station > took the free concert shuttle at Airport Cargo Terminal Station and arrived around 5:30 PM after a 3-hour journey....
And I didn't know any of the fan chants, so I searched for them on the way there, and it was fun watching Doyoung lecture us himself...but it was difficult....
The firefly chant had a clear pattern, okay okay.
But Hello Universe had all sorts of unpredictable variations, so it was a bit confusing ;;
I thought it would be awkward to eat in the middle, so I packed a lunch box, but when I tried to tear open the spoon's plastic wrapping, it broke! I broke the spoon...... I didn't think of going to a convenience store there and just picked up the round part with my hand and ate rice like an Indian ㅎㅎ

These days, you can connect your light stick to the SM Town app, and they use the light sticks for stage effects during concerts.
The admission gifts were a four-leaf clover cushion and a Biodance toner pad/serum/mask set...! Doyoung's consideration for us to sit comfortably because our butts would hurt from sitting for hours at the concert... And Biodance is a brand Doyoung mentioned he liked in his content, and he became a model for them because of that and received sponsorship~
I ate my lunch box outside, went to the bathroom, took pictures, and settled in about 5 minutes before the start, and the view was so, so good~~~ And because it was 360 degrees, the audience seats beyond the stage also lit up with light sticks, and it was pretty.
But... I brought the wrong charging cable for my power bank, so I couldn't film much because of battery issues... I wasn't planning on taking great videos anyway because my phone is old (S21), but I was so sad because it was at 35% even before the concert started ㅜ Last time at the Wish concert, it was at 20% at the beginning, so my phone died after the halfway point, and I couldn't film anything, but today, I saved as much as possible to prevent such a disaster.

As soon as Doyoung appeared, people's names were pouring out on the screen... Is this the names of the people who booked the concert???? It wasn't booked under my name, so my name wasn't there, which was a shame ㅜ The song title is Hello Universe, and Doyoung's universe is the fans, so he did this production, and he appeared saying, "Hello my universe, Czennies~!" During the ments, he said that like the name of the concert is Yours, the main characters of this concert are us, and from the beginning, I was overwhelmed by the message Doyoung wanted to convey..!

There was an event to turn on phone lights (like fireflies), but I couldn't do it because of battery issues ㅜ Too bad.. but it was pretty.

It wasn't originally on the setlist, but they added it because Chef of a Merciless Restaurant did well ㅋㅋㅋ I like Doyoung riding the wave~

My favorite song from this 2nd album. It's a song where everyone sings along from beginning to end, so it was so, so exciting!!

His face is his face. He said that the pretty cameras that Aespa uses were used for this concert, so it came out pretty, and it actually did.
???? Dong Kyung & Stillness
These songs were given by Jawooim's Kim Yuna and YB's Yoon Do Hyun, respectively, and I like them because the lyrics are poetic and the melodies are lyrical. But the songs and lyrics had their styles embedded in them, which was amazing. Below are my favorite lyrics!

These lyrics aren't the original lyrics, but he said they were what he wanted to say to us and what he wanted us to say to ourselves. We sang this part infinitely, and it was so sad... Why doesn't he ask us to wait for him while he's in the military and keeps cheering us on..

Sing-along events are so good... About 10,000 people singing one song and filling the venue with their voices was so beautiful and overwhelming.
???? Encore Entrance Song - WITHOUT YOU
I didn't expect this at all...! It was the song that Doyoung first came out into the world with as NCT U, and he said it was a song he wanted to sing at a moment when he could take a break from living so hard. I became an NCT fan around 2020~2021 and listened to all their songs, and I never thought I would hear it at a concert like this, especially with Doyoung singing it solo... But my mouth just followed along;;
???? Encore Exit Song - I'll Wait For You In The Future
Doyoung said that some people say it's tacky to say things directly, but he prepared this song as the last song. I'll wait for the 3rd album and the next concert!
Finally, he said that he would support whatever his fans do and that he hoped everyone would gain strength from today's performance and continue to pursue their dreams without giving up. I only thought about preparing fan chants and cheering with my light stick, but I never thought I would receive support for 3 hours straight. The messages of support in the songs and the words he directly conveyed were so sincere that I might still be suffering from the aftereffects? ㅠㅠ
I took the Kakao shuttle to Jamsil and took public transportation home, and it was 1 AM.... But on the bus screen...
ㅠㅠThis consideration to take care of us until the end... It was the best performance ever
Overall performance review
Doyoung's live singing was crazy (P). The songs have a lot of high notes and diverse genres (band, ballad, dance, jazz), but he handled them all, and he just tore through the entire 3-hour performance from beginning to end with live singing without any AR. And the songs are so good ㅠㅠ Please keep releasing albums 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Keep singing forever. And the ment time was so fun. Is M-byuh an ISFJ? So he's realistic, warm, and witty, so it wasn't boring at all.
Can't leave out Inspire Arena... It's perfect except for the location. It's a hotel, so the building is pleasant, the bathrooms are clean, and Doyoung prepared cushions, but the chairs are also very comfortable (^^). And the sound, screens, lighting, and stage equipment were all high quality. It was beautiful to see them use the light sticks to make it look like it was snowing or like waves were crashing, and I could feel the effort they put into the productions, like actually snowing when they sang "Snow Flower."
And it was 360 degrees, but you could see that they were paying attention to every side. He greeted each of the four sides four times and thanked them four times and apologized four times (ㅋㅋㅋ). And he sang the songs really fairly. Later, during the ment, I heard that the director?? producer?? calculated the percentage of time he was looking at each side while preparing.
The only regrets are that my phone has an old, low-quality camera and that my battery was low, so I couldn't film much... I want to upload videos and photos when I write my blog, but it's quite annoying to scrape them from here and there; And I regret not seeing the stage as a whole because I was on the first floor. If I had the time and money, I would have watched the last show on the 3rd floor one more time... The reason I specifically wanted the last show and not the first show is because the guest at the last show was Wish, Jungwoo, Mark, Johnny... No, Taeyong at the second show was also a great guest, but.. Wish... Jungwoo..ㅜ
It was a really satisfying and lingering concert! I want to see the next album and concert soon! But! Let's meet in the future in a year and a half.
