Venue Hunting for Our Wedding
For about a month, we tirelessly searched for the perfect wedding venue.
We scheduled consultations at each wedding consultation room for the earliest available dates,
and every weekend, we enjoyed our own little dates as we explored each place.
During our venue tour, we visited both the Lotte Hotel in Sogong and Jamsil.
Although they are part of the same brand, each location had its own unique character and vibe.
(The benefits seem similar, with just slight variations.)
First, we visited Lotte Hotel Seoul.
The hotel has a very classic feel. At first, I wondered if it looked old in photos,
but upon visiting, it felt more like a true embodiment of classic elegance,
giving off a vibe of being the 'ancestor of hotels.' Haha.
As the saying goes, classic is eternal...
the feeling I got from Lotte Hotel was calm, stable, and luxurious.
The overall lighting and atmosphere felt very serene.
On the day of our consultation, since it was before a ceremony,
we got to see the beautifully decorated hall.
With hanging flowers set up, I was immediately dazzled by its splendor...
Lotte Hotel Seoul is truly stunning in person.
Its grandeur is something that can't be fully captured in photos,
and it reminded me of Disney's Rapunzel.
Of course, this is just my subjective opinion. ^^
It felt like I would become a Disney princess if I got married here...
However, there are downsides.
Everyone knows about the low entrance ceiling issue, which can be concerning.
While I didn't feel it during my visit, the low ceiling is very noticeable in photos and can be bothersome.
Why did you choose white for the interior, Lotte...?!!!
Once you get past that, the interior ceiling is high,
so guests likely won't feel cramped during the actual ceremony.
This hall is a must for capturing beautiful wedding photos.
It's a reason why choosing a vendor can be quite challenging.
If not done right, the grandeur can feel overwhelming and cramped,
making it a significant point of consideration.
Additionally, Lotte Seoul has a distinctive feature that you won't find elsewhere:
the bridal waiting room.
It evokes thoughts of the Palace of Versailles in France,
with a bridal waiting room so stunningly beautiful
that it captures the hearts of brides...
As I entered, I imagined myself sitting in a dress,
thinking, 'Here, I will definitely become a princess.'
I found myself feeling quite pleased...
(Those who felt the same, can you relate...?)
Even my boyfriend acknowledged that it’s a space just for brides.
Though it’s not for a full day, just a few hours,
the thought of having my own room fills me with excitement...
All thoughts of that low ceiling vanished.
If you visit Lotte Hotel Seoul for a consultation,
make sure to look forward to the bridal waiting room!
The overwhelming uniqueness of the bridal waiting room is something
that no other hotel can offer,
making it a memorable impact.
Honestly, I wished for a unique feature that would be remembered by all
if the hotel was dark and grand.
In that aspect, I began to think that Lotte Hotel Seoul might be
the venue I was looking for.
Next, we visited Lotte Hotel Jamsil,
the very place where a celebrity recently got married.
The biggest feature of Lotte Hotel Jamsil is
the giant banner displayed inside the hotel,
which gives the impression that the whole hotel has been rented out.
(It’s a very large banner that all visitors can see.)
The bridal waiting room in Jamsil also has its own charm,
offering a view of 'Lotte World filled with dreams and hopes.'
You can even feel the thrill of the Viking ride from the window.
Compared to Seoul, the hall in Jamsil feels larger and more grand,
thanks to its high ceiling.
It seems more spacious,
and there are no pillars or obstructive elements!
Given this, I think couples considering Lotte
might prefer Jamsil a bit more.
If you want a grand feeling for your hotel ceremony, choose Jamsil,
but if you desire a more glamorous and princess-like atmosphere, go for Seoul.
I have started leaning towards Lotte Hotel Seoul,
having not forgotten the splendor of the bridal waiting room.
