Hanok Stay Luga

A must-visit place in Andong

Let me introduce you to Hanok Stay Luga.

Check-in: 3:00 PM

Check-out: 11:00 AM

Parking available

As you step through the entrance, you'll find a warm and inviting photo zone and a small room.

The small room is designed as a music and tea room, complete with LP records and a tea set.

We enjoyed quiet conversations there after putting our child to bed. It was such an enviable space!

The living room features a super single-sized sofa bed, a 55-inch TV, and a Marshall speaker.

A ceiling fan adds to the ambiance.

In mid-September, running just the ceiling fan was perfect – no need for air conditioning.

The bedroom has a king-size bed.

The master bedroom was cozy, ideal for sleeping.

The kitchen includes an induction cooktop, an oven, a six-person wood slab dining table, and a large window with a village view.

You'll also find an ice water dispenser, a capsule coffee machine, a refrigerator, various cooking utensils, and a microwave oven.

We brought simple noodle dishes and prepared sesame oil noodles in the kitchen for dinner.

Happy Time

In the morning, my child loved interacting with a cat through the kitchen window.

A staircase next to the living room leads to the attic.

(Please supervise children here as there are no railings.)

The attic is equipped with large cushions, floor cushions, an old cassette player for listening to music, a variety of books, and a beam projector.

You can also enjoy various board games and traditional Korean games.

We added an extra person (our child), and a single-size topper and bedding set were provided.

Placing two toppers under the master bedroom bed created a perfect fit.

Since the jacuzzi is located separately in the living room area, the bathroom next to the master bedroom only has a shower and a toilet.

The hairdryer is inside a wooden box.

(I spent a while looking for it!)

The jacuzzi has a wonderful atmosphere.

Just be careful not to let the water overflow.

We added bath salts and enjoyed a half-body soak with our child in the evening, which completely relieved our fatigue.

Thanks to that, the whole family slept soundly!

Impressive Scene

Across the courtyard is a separate building (byeolchae).

The byeolchae has a Eastern European-style interior, offering a different vibe.

Its charming décor contrasts with the traditional Hanok style.

It is fully equipped for cooking, including a refrigerator, microwave, a four-person dining table. Barbecue is possible using the electric grill and is free of charge.

You can only cook smelly foods like fish or meat in the byeolchae.

The byeolchae has a food waste disposer, and a washer and dryer are available for consecutive night stays, making it ideal for long-term stays.

The terrace in front of the byeolchae has a table and chairs for two, providing a space to enjoy tea while admiring the garden.

We were delighted with the charming byeolchae.

Gorgeous Scene

Behind the main house in the courtyard, there were two vintage bicycles.

It would be nice to take a stroll around the village.

We couldn't use them because of our child, but couples should definitely give it a try!

We took many pictures at the photo zone near the entrance, played Korean shuttlecock kicking (jegichagi) and arrow throwing (tuho).

It was wonderful to play in the courtyard with my child.

Wonderful Photo

The neighborhood is quiet with little traffic, making it perfect for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

The accommodations are impeccably clean and flawless; you wouldn't know that it wasn't built this year.

Warm Memory

Thanks to Luga, our trip to Andong was more healing and enjoyable.

If you're looking for a charming place to stay in Andong, I highly recommend Hanok Stay Luga!
