A Stay at Darakhyu: A Capsule Hotel Review at Incheon Airport Terminal 1
대한민국 KR 인천광역시 중구 운서동 공항로 272 인천공항 1여객터미널 교통센터 캡슐호텔 다락휴 1층

Located at 1st floor, Transportation Center, Terminal 1, Incheon Airport, 272 Gonghang-ro, Jung-gu, Incheon, Darakhyu Capsule Hotel is where my travel buddy stayed before meeting me at the airport for our Vietnam trip!
Here's a review based on her experience:
Reservation
She was looking for accommodation near Incheon Airport and decided to book Darakhyu, as she had always wanted to try it out.
The Incheon International Airport Capsule Hotel's Terminal 1 location made it easy to get to, and the fact that it was inside the airport was a major plus for her.
She booked about a month in advance, but it's a popular place, so it's best to book well in advance! Booking two months ahead is usually safe!
Reservations can be made for two types: Day Use (8 AM - 8 PM) and Overnight (8 PM - 8 AM).
Room types include Single, Single with Shower, Double, and Double with Shower. Choose the type that suits your needs!
Location
My friend stayed at Darakhyu, located on the 1st floor of the Transportation Center in Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport, in the public area.
The location of the Incheon International Airport Capsule Hotel in Terminal 1 is excellent. It's directly accessible from the arrival floor, making it very practical for those with a lot of luggage or early morning flights!
Especially for travelers returning from overseas or waiting for a connecting flight, the ability to rest immediately without any travel is a big advantage.
Interior Space
The interior of Darakhyu was surprisingly clean and quiet. The rooms were equipped with a bed, charging ports, a small light, and a shower.
However, she did say that it was "as small as you'd expect from a capsule hotel."
Still, it was decent enough for a short rest before an early morning flight or while waiting for a connecting flight.
The concept itself is 'a space for a short stay,' so if you set your expectations accordingly, you'll be satisfied.
Pros and Cons
Here are some of the inconveniences she mentioned:
First, the internet speed was too slow. Simple browsing and messaging were possible, but watching videos was difficult. Sending photos was also slow and frustrating.
Second, the toilet was not inside the room but in a separate public space. While the shower was inside the room, having to go out into the hallway to use the toilet was a bit inconvenient, especially at night.
This is a common point mentioned by other users in Incheon International Airport Capsule Hotel reviews.
Nevertheless, Darakhyu's biggest advantage is its location inside the airport.
Travelers with early morning flights or connecting flights can rest without worrying about transportation. She particularly liked that it felt safe, even when traveling alone as a woman.
Darakhyu Incheon International Airport Capsule Hotel Terminal 1 Honest Review
Her overall rating!
"It was worth trying once. It satisfied my curiosity. It's okay for a short rest, but not a place to stay for a long time."
Indeed, Darakhyu is closer to the concept of a 'rest area' than a hotel.
The location of the Incheon International Airport Capsule Hotel in Terminal 1 is really good.
Although the space is small, it has everything you need, making it worthwhile.
It's a good choice for those who need to catch an early flight the next day, want to lie down for a while after a long journey, or are waiting for a connecting flight.
Personally... I have experience using capsule hotels in Japan when I traveled in my 20s, and I don't think I'll be using them again unless the flight time is really awkward... haha.
Incheon International Airport Capsule Hotel reviews show clear pros and cons, so I would recommend it to those with a clear purpose for using it. It's worth experiencing once.
