I wanted to keep a record of my meals from the past week.

Here’s my Monday morning record :)

Last week was quite busy with several appointments,

and I also went on a day trip with a friend.

Although there weren't many home-cooked meals,

I made an effort to eat at home whenever I could.

On Monday morning, I had a meal at Baekyangsa Temple during my temple stay.

The vegetarian meal was surprisingly delicious,

and anyone who visits Baekyangsa might seriously consider vegetarianism, haha.

For lunch, I experienced monk food prepared by Monk Jeonggwan,

and had a meal at Cheonjinam.

The food was light and flavorful, made without any MSG or strong seasonings!

After finishing my temple activities,

I returned to Seoul and had stir-fried pork belly with napa cabbage for dinner.

I could really taste the oyster sauce, realizing this is the worldly food.

On Tuesday morning, I was busy and missed breakfast,

so I quickly made a soy milk latte.

Around 1 PM, I had a light meal of prosciutto sandwich and pumpkin porridge.

The pumpkin porridge was especially delicious,

probably because my mom made it with love. Thanks, Mom! ♥

For Tuesday dinner, I had a hearty meal with friends in Yeonnam-dong.

We visited a place called Susu Yeonnam,

where the seafood platter and pork were delicious!

Thanks to my friends, I also got to visit a café I had on my wishlist, Ungiryo.

It’s famous for its pistachio dessert and has been on my mind for about a year.

I’ll be posting about Susu Yeonnam and Ungiryo as separate food reviews.

On Wednesday, I had mackerel rice for lunch,

which was simply cooked mackerel on rice with side dishes.

I was a bit busy that day due to school,

so I quickly grabbed it and headed out.

For dinner, I grilled some marinated meat from the freezer and had it with side dishes and salad.

Chopped napa cabbage with dressing was tastier than most salads!

I made mentaiko and curry baguettes using the Caldi spread my friend brought from Japan.

On Thursday, after breakfast with my husband,

I baked bread with sourdough dough I had prepared the day before.

Making sourdough is harder than I expected!

For lunch, I grilled lamb neck from Trader Joe's and made lamb neck steak.

It paired well with spicy kimchi and napa cabbage,

which helped eliminate any lamb smell.

I personally love the smell of lamb and highly recommend Trader Joe's lamb neck!

After lunch, I briefly visited my family.

My younger brother brought back a lot of pastries from Seongsimdang after his trip to Daejeon,

so I went to enjoy some pastries.

Thanks to him, I had delicious snacks like chocolate tuiles and strawberry yogurt rolls.

The baguette was a bit hard, but the chocolate tuiles and strawberry yogurt rolls were a win!

Since I had a lot of pastries for a snack,

I kept dinner simple with leftover lamb and radish kimchi.

On Friday, I went on a day trip to Mukho with a friend.

We arrived after taking the first train from Cheongnyangni,

and our first meal was famous knife-cut noodle soup.

There was a long line after 10 AM,

but we managed to eat without waiting!

Although we didn’t eat a lot,

we tried a variety of local specialties while exploring Mukho.

I plan to post about my Mukho trip soon.

Mukho is quite popular lately,

and I’m thinking about going there for my summer vacation in 2026.

On Saturday morning, I had the octopus chicken from Mukho.

It’s from a famous place in Mukho that I reserved in advance.

Personally, I found it more delicious than the chicken from Sokcho.

After having chicken, I felt full all day,

so I skipped lunch and had snacks in the afternoon.

I enjoyed a gift from my brother's girlfriend, a Dujonku,

and CU's walnut cream bread.

The walnut cream was rich and delicious.

For dinner, my husband made mackerel rice,

and it was delicious as always.

He’s truly a master at making rice!

On Sunday morning, I craved garlic cheese toast,

so I made it for my husband and me.

He praised it as a great alternative to pizza,

and I promised to make it often.

After breakfast, I went to Yeonnam-dong to buy baking ingredients,

and for lunch, I had leftover rice and other side dishes.

After lunch, I made homemade chocolate granola!

For dinner, I had homemade granola with blueberries my dad picked.

I was originally planning to eat it for breakfast the next day,

but I ended up having it for dinner instead.

It was light and just right,

so my husband and I discussed making it for dinner regularly.

I had planned to go grocery shopping at Costco,

but since I still had ingredients at home,

I postponed it to next week.

Seeing how many dishes I can make with what I have,

I think delaying the grocery shopping was a wise decision.

I need to properly clean out my fridge and restock soon!
