Starting My Leave of Absence for Infertility in January 2026

Starting from January 2026, my long-awaited leave of absence for infertility has begun!
This is the first time I am taking a break solely for myself after nearly a decade of working at my company.
I made a firm resolution to make the most of this time off.
Goals I want to achieve during my leave:
1️⃣ Mental and physical well-being
2️⃣ A beautiful baby
3️⃣ Various self-development and hobbies
4️⃣ Spending quality time with my mom
I have categorized my goals this way. Although this is a leave for infertility, I placed having a baby as my second priority to ensure I don’t become overly focused on pregnancy, especially after the challenges I faced last year. Therefore, mental and physical well-being is my top priority.
My commitments and plans during the leave:
Wake up early to see my husband off
Maintain a regular lifestyle
Create a checklist and meal plan each morning
Cook healthy homemade meals (like lively smoothies, witch soup, and a Mediterranean diet)
Visit the library frequently
Attend Pilates and yoga classes at a cultural center in the morning / Gym and Pilates classes in the afternoon
Read one book twice a week
Watch RI video lectures
Post on my blog at least twice a week
Dental scaling and check-ups
Driving lessons
Go hiking and have meals with my mom once a week
Take florist classes and obtain a barista certification
Go on a long temple stay
Take day trips within the country (no overseas travel during my leave)
I've summarized my plans like this!
As I write this in January, with temperatures dropping to -15 degrees Celsius and feeling like -20 degrees, I plan to fully implement my goals starting in February.
For now, I am enjoying healthy meals! Cooking is still fun and delicious.
I will explore more!

To establish a regular routine, I plan to use the Challengers app to build good habits.
The Challengers app allows me to deposit a certain amount for a challenge, and if I verify my progress daily within a set period, I either secure my deposit or lose part of it if I don’t.
This is my first time trying it, and I’m committed to achievable challenges.
Finally, my long-awaited leave has begun! This is a unique time for myself that won’t come again.
Let’s make it fulfilling and happy! Fighting!
