National Museum of Korean Contemporary History: A Journey Through Modern Korea

The National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, opened on December 26, 2012, is the first national museum in Korea dedicated to comprehensively and systematically showcasing the nation's history from the late 19th-century opening of the ports to the present day.
Located at 198, Sejong-daero, Jongno-gu, Seoul, the museum features eight floors with four permanent exhibition halls, two special exhibition halls, storage, seminar rooms, lecture rooms, a café, a museum shop, and a rooftop garden.

- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Last admission: 5:30 PM)
- Wednesday, Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM (Last admission: 8:30 PM)
- Closed: January 1st / Lunar New Year's Day and Korean Thanksgiving Day (Chuseok)
Parking: Available (Public transportation recommended due to limited parking space)

Sibal (始發) Automobile
The Sibal automobile, produced by International Vehicle Production Co., Ltd. from August 1955 to May 1963, is an SUV-type vehicle created by dismantling discarded Willis MB Jeeps from the U.S. military and recycling and assembling the parts. It is regarded as the first domestically produced car.
The name of the car comes from the Korean word 'Sibal (始發),' meaning the beginning of automobile production in Korea. The trademark was written in Korean as 'ㅅ ㅣ - ㅂ ㅏ ㄹ'.

Hyundai Pony
The Pony is a rear-wheel-drive passenger car produced by Hyundai Motor Company from 1975 to 1985 and is Korea's first mass-produced, uniquely designed automobile.
The Pony led the growth of the domestic passenger car market and became a key player in opening the 'My Car' era.
