Exploring the Seoul Fortress Trail

"Always planning something grand"
In Seoul,
the old fortress walls remain
to protect the city of Hanyang,
the capital of the Joseon Dynasty,
from external invasions and to mark the boundaries of the city.
The fortress trail stretches
18.6 km along the inner mountains of Seoul,
which the city is currently developing
as the Seoul Hanyangdoseong,
making it accessible for citizens to walk.

If you walk the entire trail,
you will receive a certificate and a badge.
So I plan to take a day to walk it all at once.
I want that metal badge!

Since the holiday period is busy with many people,
I prefer to avoid crowded places.
Thus, Thursday the 19th seems ideal.
Climbing Inwangsan, Bukaksan, and Namsan
shouldn't be too exhausting,
and I estimate about 6 hours including meal time.
(I just ran 20k each morning during the holiday!)
We'll meet at 8 AM at City Hall and start from Namdaemun,
making a clockwise loop (2 people).
Lunch hasn't been specifically planned,
so we'll decide on the go.
However, we have some preferred dishes like
Cheongukjang, Ganjang, grilled mackerel, and modumubu,
likely around Dongdaemun.
