Recently, I've been hiking the Baekdu-daegan, and now I can handle long-distance hikes without any issues.

Instead of going to the Baekdu-daegan this month, I visited the Hanyang Doseong Trail.

To earn a metal badge, I need to complete four consecutive quarters.

Since I couldn't make it in March, I plan to finish by next March!

I used the Rambler app to track my journey, but it seems to record shorter distances than reality. Either way, I walked about 17 kilometers.

We started at 10 AM. (I was with a hiking club, but one member was late, so we waited over 20 minutes...)

Today's starting point is Dongdaemun Station.

I used a time-mark camera app to capture the time and location.

In case I end up alone, I need to memorize the route, so taking pictures along the way is helpful!

This area is next to Naksan Fortress. I remember walking the Hanyang Doseong Trail twice before, but today I'm focusing on certification and walking a shorter distance.

Originally, it was about 21 kilometers, which is not easy.

Gradually, memories are coming back. I remember walking here during the tough summer and winter.

The first certification point on the Hanyang Doseong Trail is Naksan Park.

If you see this crosswalk in the photo, you should go right, but our leader ended up going up to Hyehwa Gate.

It wasn't a big deal when we met up, though! Haha.

I passed by Hyehwa Gate for the first time.

We walked past beautiful places filled with cherry blossoms.

We headed towards the Malbawi Information Center on the Sunseong Trail.

With cherry blossoms in full bloom, it felt like flower rain. April is a great time for the city wall trail, and I look forward to the fall.

If you're near Naksan Park, Waryongjeong is a must-visit!

We stopped here for a snack.

Thanks to my hiking friend, I got to enjoy some delicious strawberry mochi!

Everyone walked really well, and we are making good progress.

Just 350 meters before reaching the Malbawi Information Center!

From here, we head towards Sukjeongmun.

This is the Malbawi Information Center.

Sukjeongmun is a place guarded by safety personnel. I'm not sure why, but it's near Cheongun University.

This is the second certification point at Cheongun University.

Climbing the stairs was tough, but our leader found an easier detour for next time!

Throughout the trail, flowers were everywhere.

Arriving at Changui Gate, we took a short coffee break!

This place brings back so many memories! My college friend was a trendsetter back then, and we used to come here for coffee.

They had unique beans like Antigua and Colombian, which I first tried here.

I remembered that time fondly.

They even offer coffee tastings, and the flavors are delightful!

Walking the city wall trail in spring is essential because you get to enjoy such beautiful paths!

This place is truly stunning, though it’s hard to capture in photos. I should take my parents here sometime!

Finally, we reached the summit of Inwangsan.

I had an iced coffee for 2500 won, and it was packed with visitors enjoying the heat!

On the way down from Inwangsan, we made sure not to get lost and followed the pink signs.

I couldn't believe there was a monorail on Inwangsan!

I think I saw all the flowers that bloom in spring today.

Now that the mountain trail is over, we headed for snacks again. Tomatoes were perfect!

We passed through Jeongdong-gil.

Wow... Isn’t it beautiful?

Crossing the crosswalk and following the left path leads to the back of Namdaemun, and from there, we head to Namsan.

Now, we are heading to Namsan Park.

This is Baekbeom Square.

The gray building on the left is where we completed the Hanyang Doseong certification and will return to receive our badges.

Our final certification point is Namsan Beacon Tower. I dashed up without my bag!

I tried to apply on the site, but there were some errors. Fortunately, an experienced member helped me out!

They suggested that heavy photos might be the issue, so I should capture and upload them instead. What a great tip!

Now, I've succeeded in my second quarter. Actually, it’s my third time, but I walked the first two properly!

Looking ahead, I have three more hikes planned: once in September, once in October, and again next spring.

After a hard day of walking, we enjoyed some delicious ribs at Sujeong Galbi!

Thanks to my hiking friend for treating us to a tasty strawberry latte. We cleared the day with a real sense of accomplishment!
