Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond were the site of a secondary palace during the Unified Silla period, where the Crown Prince resided.
The artifacts excavated from Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond are collected and exhibited at the Gyeongju National Museum's 'Wolji Hall'.
Wolji Hall was temporarily closed, but it has recently reopened in preparation for the 2025 APEC summit!
Shall we take a tour of Wolji Hall together?
Wolji Hall: An exhibition hall where you can glimpse the life of the Unified Silla Dynasty.
Address: Wolji Hall, Gyeongju National Museum, 186 Iljeong-ro, Gyeongju-si
Wolji Hall showcases approximately 1,000 carefully selected national heritage items from the Unified Silla period, out of about 30,000 artifacts excavated from Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond (Anapji Pond).
It is a vivid historical experience space where you can glimpse the daily life and culture of the Silla royal palace.
There are various tiles and architectural decorations, as well as Buddhist statues, wooden tablets, pottery, and weapons.
You can feel the exquisite artistry and delicate sensibilities of Silla✨.
In Wolji Hall, you don't just see artifacts, but you can gradually understand the lifestyle culture and aesthetic consciousness of the Unified Silla through 'thematic exhibitions'.
