Visiting Untitled Cafe(언타이틀드) after a workout

After exercising on a Saturday, I visited a famous egg tart shop in Yongsan. I had the opportunity to taste Sojae's egg tarts at Untitled Cafe, located in a corner of the Yongsan Park return site.

After finishing my workout in Hannam-dong, I took a bus to Seobinggo and was greeted by the view in front of the Yongsan Park officer's quarters. I had no idea such a place existed, and as I entered, I felt an exotic atmosphere that was unlike Korea.

Walking toward the cafe

The cafe was easy to find, with an introductory sign about Untitled Cafe at the entrance. You just need to walk along the path lined with red brick houses.

The area felt reminiscent of a quiet rural neighborhood in America, making the walk quite delightful.

As I walked, I encountered a large tree, and nearby was Untitled Cafe.

First impressions of Untitled Cafe

The front yard was charmingly decorated, and I noticed many friends taking photos. However, it wasn't crowded, likely due to the cold weather, making it comfortable to explore.

I spotted the Untitled Cafe sign! Immediately to the left upon entering, I found Sojae's egg tarts.

Sojae egg tart menu overview

Sojae's egg tarts range from the classic egg tart to those made with fig, pumpkin, sweet potato, and chestnut. Each tart has its ingredients displayed on top, making it easy to identify them.

Sweet potato egg tart costs 4,600 won.

Sojae offers Portuguese-style egg tarts.

Pumpkin egg tart costs 4,800 won and is a limited menu item exclusive to Untitled Cafe in Yongsan, so be sure to try it if you visit!

Fig egg tart costs 4,800 won and looks delicious, even before tasting it, as it has been featured on shows like "Amazing Saturday." The showcase was filled with them.

Chestnut egg tart costs 4,800 won and is perfect for fall and winter.

Original egg tart costs 4,500 won, and they have a variety of options available.

They also offer gift packaging sets for 6 or 8 tarts, making it a great choice for dessert gifts.

If you love egg tarts, they even provide delivery, including to Jeju Island.

Inside the cafe and tasting the tarts

The interior of the cafe is spacious, making it a nice spot to enjoy coffee along with the tarts.

Each egg tart is packaged individually in a paper bag labeled "EGG TARTE!" with tape to distinguish the different flavors.

I first tried the pumpkin and fig egg tarts. I was curious about how pumpkin would taste in an egg tart, but it was incredibly sweet and had a delightful cinnamon aroma.

It reminded me that there is a dish called pumpkin egg custard, so it makes sense that they would pair well!

The fig egg tart had a sweet fig jam filling, making it very tasty.

I saved the original and sweet potato egg tarts for tomorrow.
