A Beautiful Day at Naksan Park

On January 17, 2026 (Saturday),
I visited Jongmyo Shrine and then stopped by the greenhouse at Changgyeonggung Palace to see the plum blossoms and camellias.
Afterward, I exited through Exit 2 at Hyehwa Station and hiked up to Naksan Park to enjoy the beautiful sunset and night view.
Starting from in front of Exit 2 at Hyehwa Station, there are signposts leading to Naksan Park from the entrance of Marronnier Park in Daehangno, making it easy to find your way.
The path is lined with signs, so you can easily navigate.
As I climbed the stairs to the central plaza of Naksan Park, the sunset began.
Before the sun set, I witnessed the magpies celebrating with their flight.
At the summit of Naksan Park, I took a moment to enjoy the view and planned to return to catch the sunset.
After reaching the top, I watched the magpies again as they awaited their next celebratory flight.
From the peak, I could see Inwangsan, Bukhansan, and Dobongsan, and I returned to the viewpoint to catch the beautiful sunset peeking through the cityscape.
After enjoying the sunset, I descended along the fortress wall path of Naksan Park. Although I had visited several times, I stopped by Naksanjeong for a better view of the night scene.
I realized I needed to stay a bit longer to fully appreciate the night view.
I made my way down to Ihwa Mural Village and visited the famous cafe.
As the lights turned on in the cafe, the atmosphere gradually became lively.
From this point, the beautiful night view began to unfold.
I captured the YTN Namsan Tower glowing red, and the night view towards Doosan Tower was mesmerizing.
As time passed, the sunset over Namsan turned increasingly crimson, and the church bell tower looked beautiful as well.
The lights intensified, creating a stunning night view.
Finally, I admired the night view of Heunginjimun (Dongdaemun) from above.
The fortress wall path above Heunginjimun Park was breathtaking.
Looking up, I took in the beauty of the surroundings.
Thank you for visiting!
