Gyeonggi Agricultural Research & Extension Services will host the 'Urban Outing of Sentimental Farmers,' a youth farmers' market where young farmers and urban residents can connect. The event will take place over two days, from the 18th to the 19th, at Undapwon in Dongtan Lake Park, Hwaseong City.

Around 150 young farmers from 17 cities and counties, including Suwon, Yongin, and Pocheon, will participate, operating a total of 25 sales and experience booths.

The sales booths will showcase and sell fresh agricultural products, local specialties, and processed goods directly cultivated and produced by young farmers. The experience booths will offer programs suitable for families, such as making grape jelly, creating mini-gardens, and crafting handmade rice donuts. Visitors can also enjoy interactive content like traditional games, balloon art, and face painting, as well as various stage performances, including Nanta performances, magic shows, DJing, and diet dance.

Precious Memories

Sung Je-hoon, the head of the Agricultural Research & Extension Services, stated, "We planned this event to allow young farmers to meet urban consumers directly, understand trends, and expand direct transaction opportunities. We hope this event will become a place of urban-rural exchange beyond a simple sales event, incorporating cultural performances."
