December 1st is World AIDS Day.

"Proper prevention, zero infection!"

Every year on December 1st, we commemorate World AIDS Day.

It's a day to spread accurate information and awareness about HIV/AIDS,

and to share the importance of prevention and treatment without prejudice.

✔ HIV vs. AIDS: What's the difference?

Many people find these terms confusing,

but they are not the same.

Human Immunodeficiency Virus.

It's the virus that causes AIDS by attacking the immune cells in our body.

???? What is AIDS?

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) refers to the condition where the immune system is severely weakened

due to untreated HIV infection.

In other words, it's the advanced stage of HIV infection.

People living with HIV can maintain a healthy life

and significantly reduce the risk of transmission to others

by consistently taking medication and managing their health.

Regular treatment is crucial!

✔ AIDS Prevention: It's not difficult!

① Use condoms during sexual contact.

This is the most basic and effective method of prevention.

② Get tested without delay if you suspect exposure.

You can get tested easily at public health centers or hospitals.

Early diagnosis leads to early treatment.

③ If you are HIV-positive, start treatment immediately.

The sooner you start treatment, the higher the chance of returning to a healthy life.
