Special Opening Event at the Traditional Architecture Component Preservation Center

Experience the Story of Our Architecture Up Close

Located in Heyri, Paju, the Traditional Architecture Component Preservation Center is preparing a special exhibition.

On December 13 and 27, we will open the previously locked storage to the public for two days.

Elements such as columns, roofs, beams, and brackets are referred to as components in traditional architecture.

Understanding these components will greatly enhance your appreciation of architectural structures.

During this special opening, visitors will have the opportunity to see traditional architectural components collected from across the country.

We aim to share the excellence of our traditional architecture through guided explanations.

Introduction to the Traditional Architecture Component Preservation Center

The center was established by the Foundation for the Promotion of Traditional Architecture Repair Technology to research preservation techniques and share the value of traditional architectural heritage.

The storage contains various components and charred remains from Sungnyemun, which are currently managed privately.
