The 2025 Seoul Light Fall Season is Open!
In the fall, Seoul's nights shine a little more romantically. In particular, "Seoul Light," held against the backdrop of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), has established itself as a representative nighttime cultural festival in Seoul.
In the fall of 2025, Seoul Light will be held under the theme of “EVERFLOW: A Moving Field.”
It's not just a performance that shines light, but also a special experience where the audience becomes part of the artwork with the total mobilization of space data, AI technology, and laser art. From now on, I will introduce this fascinating festival in detail.

Autumn nights revived by light, “EVERFLOW”
Under the theme of “EVERFLOW: A Moving Field,” the fixed exterior wall of the DDP is transformed into a living and breathing canvas. Light and video flow like the rhythm of the city, creating an organic ecosystem where the audience's gaze and movement become part of the work.

A leading French media artist. At this festival, he will present two works on the theme of the universe and the human gaze.
Solar Wind: A work in collaboration with NASA, ESA, and CNES, visualizing light waves based on actual solar wind data. Experience the moment when science in the night sky is translated into art.
Panoptes: Explores surveillance, gaze, and astronomical perspectives through scenes where numerous 'eyes' seem to be watching the viewer. You will feel a slight chill and immersion at the same time the moment you see it.

The team that created ‘WAVE,’ where whales swam on the COEX facade. This time, they express the cycle of nature and vitality with digital art.
Eternal Nature: A 10-minute masterpiece that depicts the 'narrative of existence' that connects the beginning and end of life and the flow of light on a huge exterior wall.

An artist who presents immersive art using light and lasers.
Multimmersion_DDP25: Set in the lower part of the DDP 'Mi래로 Bridge,' it showcases works that react to lasers, smoke, and wind. When the audience goes under the bridge, they will have the experience of being in a maze of light.
✦ Next-generation AI Artist (OpenAI Collaboration)
The highlight of this Seoul Light is the collaboration between AI and humans.
The Valley and the Light (Choi Se-hoon): A surreal art that intersects dreamy landscapes and emotions.
Moon Cycle (Timo Helgert): A work that poetically interprets time and emotions as hundreds of moons flow across the facade.
The scene where the moon flows is likely to be the most shared 'hot point' on Instagram.

Highlight: A fantastic performance that combines lasers and music to illuminate the entire DDP.
A splendid opening with Aka Chang's laser work. Don't miss the atmosphere of the first day.
International Forum
Date: September 2, 2025, 18:00~19:00 (or until 19:20)
Location: DDP Design Lab (4th floor 'Grass Love Room')
Participants: Laurent Grasso, d’strict Executive Vice President Lee Sang-jin, OpenAI official
Content: A time to hear in-depth behind-the-scenes stories of artwork production and artistic philosophy. Prior reservation is required!
“New art and the world that technology will create with AI.”
A conversation session will be held with Laurent Grasso, Lee Sang-jin, Executive Vice President of d’strict, and OpenAI's Head of Voice. It is an opportunity to hear firsthand in which direction art and technology will move forward.

1. World's Largest Non-Standard Media Facade
DDP's huge outer wall (222m) becomes a screen of light. The experience of encountering the visual arts of the universe, nature, and AI in the middle of the city is only possible here!
2. Free Fall Night Date Course
It's good to visit with couples as well as friends.
Admission is free, so be sure to visit.
3. Photo Hotspot
The moon, forest, and light of space data projected on the outer wall become the background. Take a snapshot of your life!
Tip: Rather than a location where the entire facade is visible, taking a close-up with a portion of the curved surface as the background will leave you with more dramatic photos.

It is an event that gives you the realization that “Art can go this far when it meets science.”

Transportation: Accessibility is good as it is right in front of Exit 1 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station on Subway Lines 2, 4, and 5.
Recommended Time: Arrive before the start of 8 PM sharp to secure a good spot.
Avoid Peak Times: We recommend visiting on weekdays rather than weekends.
