Seoul Library is running a book support program called

'Mom Book Booster' for expecting parents.

This program delivers parenting-related books and information on Seoul's childcare policies.

Additionally, a lecture series titled 'Monthly Book Booster' will also be held.

Attention expecting parents!

Through the 'Mom Book Booster' box, Seoul Library provides free access to parenting books and information.

This year, the program has expanded to include a selection of books and lecture programs.

What does the 'Mom Book Booster' program entail?

'Mom Book Booster' is a book support initiative by Seoul Library aimed at expecting parents.

It delivers parenting-related books and guides on Seoul's childcare policies in a box format, operating since 2022.

Due to high demand, last year the program reached capacity before November.

This year, the application process has improved, allowing applicants to choose their desired books directly!

What is included in the Mom Book Booster box?

The selected books consist of 10 titles for parents and 10 for children.

Applicants can choose from these titles based on their interests and parenting stages.

Additionally, the box includes an eco-bag supported by Bookstart Korea and a child growth board.

Expecting parents can apply for transportation support and register via the designated website.

The 'Monthly Book Booster' lectures and programs are also available.

Seoul Library runs the 'Monthly Book Booster' lecture series based on selected books.

Lectures will primarily be held online, with offline interaction programs planned for this year.

The first lecture will take place on March 9, featuring education expert Professor Cho Byuck, discussing the role of parents and the importance of reading in the AI era.

Following this, other lectures will include authors discussing their works and insights into parenting.

In May, coinciding with Family Month, a book talk for fathers will be held, providing a platform for sharing parenting experiences.

Seoul City, in collaboration with local libraries, is also expanding the 'Our Neighborhood Book Booster' program, offering various activities.

For more details, please check the Seoul Library's website and social media channels.

As you await your child, preparing with books can be a wonderful experience.
