Once again, I wanted to play that piece, and now it's becoming a reality at the Kunst Piano Academy in Jangyu.
Hello, we are the Kunst Piano Academy located in Jangyu, specializing in adult piano lessons.
Today, we want to share the story of a student who, as an adult, chose to return to the piano, capturing the hearts of those who wish to learn.
Our student, referred to as OOO, had learned piano to a relatively good level during childhood.
While the piano was a natural part of life during school years, over time, it faded into the background due to work and daily responsibilities.
Nevertheless, the interest in music always lingered, and the thought of "I want to sit at the piano again someday" remained in their heart.
Last summer, OOO decided to bring that 'someday' to the present.
They visited Kunst Piano Academy and even acquired a new piano.
This decision held more significance than just a hobby.
It was not about mastering the instrument but truly engaging with the music they loved.
The first piece chosen was their favorite Beethoven sonata.
For adults, selecting a sonata is no light matter.
These pieces are lengthy, structurally complex, and require consistent practice to complete.
Moreover, with a busy work life, finding ample practice time was challenging.
However, OOO chose not to rush.
They prioritized consistent lessons over extensive practice and focused on understanding the flow rather than striving for perfection.
As a result, they calmly progressed through the pages and successfully completed a long movement of the sonata.
This experience left them with the confidence that "I can still do this."
Currently, they are refining their technique through 'Flight of the Bumblebee' and learning jazz versions of carols for the Christmas season.
They are enjoying both the beauty of classical music and the freedom of jazz, embracing music as a part of life rather than just a practice task.
