I recently visited the newly opened ✨Munsan Library✨ in Munsan.
Munsan Library is a library that the residents of Paju have been waiting for a long time,
So, my first impression was quite impressive and intense.
From the exterior of the building, it felt futuristic and looked great.
I felt that the library was not just a space to borrow books,
But a completely new space as a local cultural center!
The building was quite large, with one basement floor and three floors above ground,
Overall, the colors were bright and warm, so the moment I walked in,
I felt good.😊
There was something that completely broke the mold of the
image of a library that I had known before,
When you enter the entrance, there is a large lobby and a large media wall installed,
So I could feel a different atmosphere from ordinary libraries.

Munsan Library is not just a library,
I had a strong feeling that it was a 'futuristic library'.

✔️ In the 'realistic experience library' corner, you can experience
scenes from the book directly through screens and sensors.
I thought this part would be especially
interesting for students or teenagers.

What was most impressive was
✅The space composition for each age group was really well done.
On the 1st floor, there is a children's library and a separate space for infants,
So it was decorated so that children could read books and play.
In particular, the children's room has bright and cute colors,
I felt that books were not difficult and boring, but felt like play
I thought it would be friendly.
There was also a media aquarium
I felt like I was at an exhibition for children.
I think the library will also be a place
where children will want to go and play!
On the 2nd floor, there is a general reading room and a space
where you can read like a cafe.

It was a structure where anyone could stay comfortably.
Also, the space is designed to allow plenty of natural light to enter,
When I read a book, I felt like I was in a cafe.

The time I spent reading a book was really relaxing and nice.☺️
I visited on a weekday afternoon, and it was quieter and more relaxing than I thought,
I thought it would be a good personal workspace.

It was the perfect atmosphere for organizing ideas.
Overall, the interior feels like a large book cafe,
It was a more enjoyable outing than just visiting the library.😄

I was also impressed by the fact that the entire library was made with 'barrier-free design'.
In particular, unlike other libraries, the spaces for borrowing and returning books
I could see a lot of details such as Braille, height adjustment, and emergency bells!
In addition, the elevators, ramps, and toilet structures were carefully designed,
I thought that the elderly and wheelchair users would be able to move around without any inconvenience.
I felt that it was a space for 'anyone' who reads books.
And I really liked that there was a cafe and a place to rest on the 1st floor.
There was a lecture room next to it.

⏰Opening hours are from 9 a.m. on weekdays
Until 10 p.m. (until 6 p.m. on weekends)
Office workers can also use it after work.

from Munsan Station or Munsan Terminal.
Libraries have a calmness that seems to stop time,
It's a great space to take a break in today's busy life.
Munsan Library was a really good place to feel that relaxation.
I was really happy that such a wonderful library was built in Paju.
