The Han River Drone Show for the second half of 2025 kicked off on September 7th.

I'm posting the schedule because many people seem to be looking for the Han River Drone Light Show dates.

Han River Drone Show Dates:

September 7 (Sunday)

September 14 (Sunday)

September 20 (Saturday)

September 26 (Friday)

October 19 (Sunday)

The Han River Drone Show will be held every weekend from September 7th, except for the Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) holiday period.

A total of 5 shows are planned.

Han River Drone Show Time:

The official time for the Han River Drone Show is 8 PM.

However, the September 26th show has been changed to 7:15 PM due to flight safety notices.

The location is Ttukseom Han River Park. The show takes place near the waterfront stage in front of the location marked on the map.

A great photo

No More K-Demon Hunters (Kedeheon)

To cut to the chase, K-Demon Hunters is no longer happening. The special performance on September 7th was the first and last.

The theme for the September 14th show was Seoul Marble (I don't know what that is).

The theme for the September 20th show, which I saw, was... Han River Bus. (See the picture above.) No K-Demon Hunters at all.

I was surprised because news articles and Instagram posts led me to believe that K-Demon Hunters would be featured. There were many children and foreigners around who were probably expecting it too, which made me feel bad. There was even a child in full Lumi cosplay.

It's frustrating that they advertised it this way and then said it was just a special performance for the first show.

The official website does have a notice about it.

The theme for the September 26th show is Starlit Arcade. The theme for the October 18th show is Kakao Friends, Seoul Autumn.

But I feel like doing it this way is practically false advertising.

Ttukseom Han River Park Drone Show Review:

A happy time

Anyway, the Han River Drone Show attracts a lot of people, and the parking lot was full from 3 PM.

To get a good spot, you'll need to spread out a picnic mat at least 4-5 hours in advance. Otherwise, you'll have to stand.

Also, the phone data doesn't work well because there are so many people there. The Wi-Fi wasn't working either, which was quite frustrating.

If you're planning to go early and wait, it's a good idea to bring offline activities like board games or books.

When the thousands of drones rise up at the beginning of the show, everyone applauds and cheers.

The sight of them sparkling and forming large shapes in the sky is beautiful.

However, once the drone show started, the content was about the Han River Bus... As you can see in the picture above, the quality is very different from the K-Demon Hunters performance. There's no vividness of 3D, and it feels generally flat. There's also no music, which made it feel empty. It lacks the intense splendor of a fireworks festival. This may be because I didn't get a good seat.

A special moment

Furthermore, it was all about promoting government policies, which probably confused foreigners. There were no English explanations.

It started at 8 PM and lasted until about 8:15 PM. The drones returned to their positions, and I thought it was over, but they rose again, so I watched to see if there was more. But? This time it was promoting the K-BBQ festival.

I understand that the Seoul Metropolitan Government wants to promote its policies and festivals, but I wonder if it really needs to be done with drones. The foreigners around me seemed disappointed, which made me sad. They waited a long time standing up...

So, coming just for the Han River Drone Show might be a bit disappointing. It's best to think of it as something to see in the evening while you're visiting the area.

An interesting image

You can ride a bike along the river, lie down on a picnic mat, or there are tents and photo zones. There are plenty of things to do.

The Cats of Ttukseom

Anyway, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which is failing to capitalize on its opportunities, needs to wake up! They should renew their contract with Netflix or something and program all the remaining shows with K-Demon Hunters.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government, which crushed the children's dreams and foreigners' excitement... If they want to be praised, they should revive the K-Pop Demon Hunters performances. Aren't they afraid of the 300 million Kedeheon viewers (?) But they've already announced that each show will have a different theme, and they've announced the remaining themes for September, so it seems like they'll stick with "no Kedeheon" until the end. Especially since the 5th show is Kakao Friends.

A hopeful tomorrow

People who went to see it on September 7th without expectations are the lucky ones.
