Grand Mint Festival Review: Tips, Location, and My Experience

Hello everyone!
Today, I'm going to share my review of the Grand Mint Festival.
I'll be sharing everything from the location and essential items to some helpful tips!
Location and Admission
⭐️Important: You must present your ID to match the ticket purchaser's name upon entry!⭐️
My husband loves Peppertones, so I chose this festival ticket as his birthday present.
It was our first time visiting a music festival! hehe
Coming out of Exit 3 of Olympic Park Station, you'll immediately see signs, so it's very easy to find.
Fortunately, it didn't rain that day, but the weather was a bit cloudy, which was a shame. Still, better than rain, right? lol
Oh, here's a tip for those attending next year!
If it has rained recently:
❌ Don't wear long pants
❌ Don't wear your favorite shoes
The grass area is very muddy, so wearing your favorite shoes will only break your heart... haha
Oh, and a picnic mat is a must!
If you drink water often, bring your own water bottle.
There's a free water zone available.
The ticket booths are separated by purchase platform, so check where you bought your ticket and go to the corresponding booth.
We purchased our tickets from NOL for ₩132,000 per person.
I think they offer a discount if you sign up for a NOL card, but I was too lazy and just paid full price.
Important!!!
You MUST present the purchaser's ID when picking up the tickets.
We purchased the tickets under my husband's name, so he presented his ID. I brought mine just in case, but it wasn't necessary.
Grand Mint Festival Facilities and Food Zone
Besides this photo, there were various photo zones, but the lines were quite long.
If you wander around, you'll find a time when the lines are shorter, so time it well and take some pictures.
My husband and I weren't really interested in the photo zones, so we coolly passed. haha
This line is for purchasing merchandise. They were selling hoodies, zip-up hoodies, keychains, water bottles, and more.
Oh, and this booklet!
It's very helpful while you're enjoying the festival, so make sure to grab one. haha
I saved the lineup on my phone, but surprisingly, it was much easier to flip through the booklet.
There's a small snack bar inside the building, which is good for a quick bite. There's also a larger convenience store outside, so if you're planning on eating a full meal, it's better to eat there.
We were so full from lunch that we bought Han River ramen and Banana Kick (which I'd been craving) for dinner.
There are many food booths and plenty of seating, so you don't have to go outside to eat.
Lineup and Festival Review
I went on Saturday, October 18th, and the lineup included Paul Kim, Jung Seung Hwan, Peppertones, AKMU, and other famous artists.
On the 19th, MeloMance, 10CM, CNBLUE, Younha, and many other talented singers performed.
As I mentioned before, my husband is a Peppertones fan, so we went on Saturday!
We had some time before Peppertones' set, so we went to the grass area to soak in the atmosphere, and Paul Kim was performing.
He was amazing, of course! He sings so well.
My husband and I aren't really up-to-date with the latest songs, so we got a little distracted when we didn't know the song... haha
But when he sang "Coffee One Shot" or "Meeting You," we were like, "Oh! We know this song!" and got excited. lol
After that, we went to the indoor stage because my husband has also been interested in the Yubinband lately, so we went to see them.
This date was purely for my husband! haha
My musical knowledge stopped at Girls' Generation, TVXQ, and 2NE1... haha
If you arrive early, you can see the artists rehearsing.
If you like a particular artist, it's a good idea to arrive near the end of the previous artist's set and get a seat.
It was my first time at a music festival, and I loved the energetic atmosphere.
My husband said he enjoyed Yubinband's performance more than he expected, so he was happy. ???
We listened to a few songs by Jung Seung Hwan, had dinner, and then went to see Peppertones.
The entrance line was divided into standing and seated sections, and we had to wait in line for quite a while to get into the seated section.
We arrived 40 minutes before the show started, but we couldn't enter right away and ended up going in about 10-15 minutes before the show.
This doesn't happen all the time, but if the artist has a large fan base, it seems like there's more crowding and waiting.
Ugh, but saving seats... it's really annoying.
It's prohibited to save seats, but so many people do it.
It would be somewhat understandable if it was an unpopular seat at the end, but people blatantly put their bags in prime seats in the middle and leave.
I hope the organizers address this and improve it for next year's festival.
Anyway, I enjoyed watching Peppertones, and Cho Hye-ryun even came out, which was fun and interesting for me. haha
We watched AKMU until the middle of their set and then left for home.
It was clear that AKMU and Peppertones were more relaxed and better at engaging with the audience during their performances.
I realized that true professionals with years of experience are different. haha
My final review is that it's worth visiting once, but the seat-saving and the large flags were disappointing.
(Fans were waving large flags, which was distracting and obstructed the view of the stage. I wasn't the only one who felt that way; the people next to me were also complaining. ㅜ)
Anyway, I hope this review is helpful for those visiting next year, and I hope everyone has a great day! ❤️
