세종 조치원읍 으뜸길 215

Right in front of Jochiwon Station, the long-standing fruit street has reopened as Hangul Singsingro, a compact cultural space that blends local history, fresh produce, and playful design.
The Hangul Singsingro Fruit Shop combines exhibitions and sales in one spot, offering fruit, character goods, and a small photo zone that reflects the identity of the neighborhood.
This post shares the winter operating schedule, the story behind the street’s revival, and what makes the shop a refreshing stop near the station.
Winter Operating Schedule for January
The Hangul Singsingro Fruit Shop operates from Monday to Saturday, opening at 10:00 AM and closing at 7:00 PM.
The shop is closed on Sundays and on January 1. For schedule changes or future updates, visitors are encouraged to check the Sejong City Cultural Foundation or the Hangul Cultural City website and Instagram.
A New Beginning for the Fruit Street
The fruit street located directly across from Jochiwon Station plaza has been reborn as Hangul Singsingro.
The Hangul Singsingro Fruit Shop sits on the first floor of the building to the right of the station plaza, at Eutteum-gil 204, and serves as a multi-purpose space for exhibitions and sales.
More than a simple renovation, this project aims to create a cultural street that resonates with local residents and visitors.
A Small Space with a Long History
Inside the shop, visitors can learn about the fruit street’s 120-year history.
The area flourished after the opening of Jochiwon Station in 1905, remained lively until around 2000, and then gradually declined during the 2010s.
With the opening of Hangul Singsingro Fruit Shop, the street is now taking its first steps toward revival.
Local Identity and Photo Zones
One side of the space features a photo zone inspired by peaches, a well-known local specialty of Jochiwon.
Bright fruit characters fill the shop, instantly catching the eye and creating a cheerful atmosphere.
Fresh Fruit in Small Quantities
Alongside character goods, the shop sells fresh fruits directly on site.
Being able to purchase individual items, such as single tangerines or apples, is especially convenient for single-person households.
Even late in the evening, stopping by for a small amount of fresh fruit feels easy and practical.
Character Goods and Fun Details
The shop also offers a wide range of food-themed goods filled with creative ideas.
Visitors can find plant pots, seeds, sticky notes, postcards, sticker packs, hairpins, keychains, magnets, and stationery featuring juicy fruit characters.
A popular highlight is the gacha machine, where cute keychains can be tried for just 500 won.
A Refreshing Stop Near Jochiwon Station
Hangul Singsingro Fruit Shop may be small, but it is rich with stories, freshness, and local character.
If you find yourself near Jochiwon Station, stopping by for a short visit, a piece of fruit, or a playful souvenir can add a refreshing pause to your day.
