From March 27 to 29, we will host the 'Cherry Blossom Book Festival and Korean Children's Literature Seminar' at the Goseong Youth Hostel and the Chaekdumbung Library.

This event holds special significance as it is funded by the 'Hometown Love Fund,' which reflects the cherished sentiments of the local residents and expatriates. The county plans to uncover Goseong's unique children's literature content by combining an academic seminar featuring experts with a family-friendly public festival, transforming the entire region into a vibrant literary hub.

On the first day, March 27, the 'Korean Children's Literature Seminar' will take place at the Goseong Youth Hostel. Over 100 prominent children's literature authors and experts will gather to highlight the literary value of Goseong's human and ecological resources. Esteemed speakers, including publishing representatives and children's literature critics, will share in-depth insights on picture book publishing practices and creative directions, laying the academic groundwork for Goseong as a hub of children's literature.

On March 28 and 29, the Chaekdumbung Library and Healing Park will transform into a massive outdoor library through the 'Cherry Blossom Book Festival.'

The first day of the festival will feature various activities, including a Baby Book Start program, children's performances, family gingerbread house making, and a book concert by author Ryu Joo-yeon. The following day will continue with diverse cultural programs such as 'Four Authors, Four Colors: Drawing,' a poetry reading, and book busking. Additionally, a continuously operating book flea market, various book-related crafting experiences, and outdoor reading zones will provide visitors with a unique reading experience.
