The media art platform 'Atelier Nodeul' opens on the 28th under the Hangang Bridge at the southern end of Nodeul Island.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government will open the public media art exhibition platform 'Atelier Nodeul' under the Hangang Bridge at the southern end of Nodeul Island in the center of the Han River on the 28th, and will operate it every day from 5 PM to 10 PM until February 28, 2026.
'Atelier Nodeul' inherits the vision of the Nodeul Global Art Island project 'Sound Scape', creating a three-dimensional media facade viewing environment on the unique location under the bridge and on the bridge walls and floors. It has been prepared as a media art platform in the city that can be enjoyed during walks home from work, weekend outings, or even on the Han River bus at night.
Various works are screened on the large media facade installed on the wall (49m x 7.7m) and floor (49m x 14m), starting every hour on the hour and half-hour, operating 10 times a day for approximately 30 minutes per session.
This opening exhibition is composed of three main sections, focusing on Seoul's core values of 'Art', 'Togetherness', and 'Attraction'.
First, in the Art section, leading Korean media artists such as Seo Hyo-jeong, Yang Min-ha, and Jung Yun-soo participate to showcase 'Media Scape', which reinterprets the flow of the city and the vibrancy of the Han River with different algorithms and particle techniques.
▴Seo Hyo-jeong expresses the ecology of the Han River and the Seoul skyline in geometric abstraction through <Island Reflected in Water> and <Landscape Woven with Code: Seoul>, and ▴Yang Min-ha embodies contrasting contrasts such as light waves and black and white in a mathematical algorithm in <Contemplation 2025> and <Abyss>. ▴Jung Yun-soo expands the energy of the storm and the reverberation of memories created by tens of thousands of particles into the entire space through <Hurakan> and <Rozlin>, leading to audience immersion.

The second 'Togetherness' section, 'Moment Seoul', communicates with citizens through <Emotional Messages at the End of the Day>, emotional message content containing support and comfort for citizens in their daily lives, and <Haechi's Seoul Outing>, a pleasant story animation in which Haechi, Seoul's symbolic character, and his friends take the subway and Han River bus to tour Seoul's famous attractions.
The third attraction section, 'Hangang Nature', visualizes the ecology of Nodeul Island and the Han River in the form of a media art natural history book, vividly conveying the beauty of nature of the Han River and Nodeul Island, further highlighting the 'attractive' city of Seoul.

In particular, this exhibition operates a targeted exhibition that takes into account operating hours so that visitors can watch the exhibition while traveling on the Han River bus, transforming everyday travel into a special media art experience.
Audiences can view the Atelier Nodeul exhibition for approximately 4 minutes on the Yeouido↔Apgujeong section passing through Nodeul Island (a total of 6 passes are expected when Yeouido↔Jamsil operation resumes in the future). In addition, an AI docent program is also provided on the Han River bus to help citizens easily understand the works.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said, "This opening exhibition of 'Atelier Nodeul' is an opportunity to show the charm of Nodeul Island and the Han River in a new way, and will provide citizens with a special experience where Seoul's nature, city, and art come together." “We hope that ‘Atelier Nodeul’, which contains Seoul’s core values of art, togetherness, and attraction, will establish itself as a cultural space representing Nodeul Island, and that domestic and foreign tourists will discover new charms of Seoul and the Han River.”
