I've been running around to so many events lately that I'm completely drained. So, here's a late review of the 2025 Seoul Light Han River Festival...

I visited with my partner on October 9th, the last day of the holiday weekend. ????

As soon as you get off at Ttukseom Station, you can see the Light Festival and Haechi right away.

The weather was a little cloudy, but as long as it didn't rain, it was all good.

Because I didn't bring an umbrella...

It feels like it's been raining non-stop lately. Please stop... seriously...

Right next to it, there was a shiny new Kia EV5! It seems Kia was a sponsor of the Light Festival.

I never used to be interested in cars at all, but I've been seeing so many pretty cars lately.

Is it time for me to buy a car? ㅠ

The 2025 Seoul Light Han River Festival was held on a fairly large scale right in front of Jiyang Station on Line 7.

The main exhibits are spread out, making it a great festival to explore while taking a stroll.

The day I visited, the weather had cooled down so much by sunset that it was even better!

Around 6 or 6:30 PM... We had some time before the festival started, so we took a walk around the Ttukseom neighborhood first.

Then, I discovered a cute statue. LOL

It looks so plump... That plumpness that makes you want to squish its cheeks.

While wandering aimlessly around Ttukseom, I saw a SKIPPY pop-up store!

It's been months since I've been able to go to a pop-up store because I've been so exhausted with life, so I was really happy to find one after so long.

If you took a quick survey, they gave you a snack with yogurt, peanut butter, and toppings.

But...

Runny, sour yogurt and thick peanut butter...

Didn't really go well together...

Plus, I don't really like nuts, and I kept biting into almonds ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I ended up giving up on eating it.

So, I went for Han River ramen instead.

Hehehe

After talking and walking with my partner, I didn't realize how long we'd been strolling around Ttukseom.

A convenience store that I arrived at right before starvation. ㅠ

Bubbling

❤️❤️❤️

I got the spicy ramen I had a few days ago.

Super spicy ~.~

I've been craving spicy food lately, so I bought it even though I knew it would be spicy.

But it was more persistently spicy than I thought...

Still, I like spicy food, so I'm the type to suffer for it.

I need to eat something spicy regularly to live beautifully in this harsh world.

For some reason, the Han River feels melancholic after sunset.

The Han River, which I visit on a nice day after living diligently, feels like proof that I've made it this far.

In that sense, spacing out while looking at the Han River again today. (• ▿ ‹ )-⋆。·

I hurriedly came to see the Tunnel of Light exhibit, which starts when the subway passes by from 6:30 PM.

Is this what they call subway hell?

There was a truly unbelievable crowd. LOL

The 2025 Light Festival's Tunnel of Light exhibit is supposed to be a place to recover the sense of dwelling in movement, but the people who came before us had already entered the tunnel.

These days, there's a wait everywhere. Me, waiting even in this wide Han River.

With the hope that I'll get into the tunnel someday, I watched the Tunnel of Light from afar at 6:35 PM.

The exhibit started as the subway passed by noisily.

This was a thrilling experience.

It suddenly lit up with a buzzing and popping sound!

Wow~~ ⸜(*◉ ᴗ ◉)⸝

I'm sad that I'm short...

But the screen is big and the tunnel is long, so if you stand on tiptoes and peek, you can see it.

I can't just look at the back of strangers' heads!

I'm a hard worker. Hehehe

And finally, at 6:54 PM, I entered the Tunnel of Light!

I randomly stood in line, and I ended up near the front of the tunnel, and I was dazed.

Earlier, I saw them using the lights all the way through the tunnel. So, what will I see?

You can see a huge screen and flickering lights.

I wanted to go to the back, but hundreds of people were looking ahead, so it was too awkward to turn around.

So, when I felt disappointed, I looked at the ceiling.

It showed a little more, so I was happy!

Personally, I liked the sparkling pearl-like scene the best.

And the blue light that looked like shooting stars falling from the sky.

????????????

And around this point, people suddenly appeared, creating a tense atmosphere. Du-du-dun...

It suddenly felt like a thriller. LOL

Is it supposed to represent the crowds commuting to and from work?

Then they should've drawn several times that amount!

The hellish subway commute is a thriller.

Up to the bright red lights~

I really liked how they used a variety of lights and sound atmospheres.

It lasted about 13 minutes, but the time flew by while I was watching!

When you exit the Tunnel of Light, there was a laser exhibit right behind it.

At first, I didn't know what a laser exhibit was...

But

I think I liked this even more than the Tunnel of Light.

The speed felt so exhilarating. LOL

But the funny thing was...

The place where the laser exhibit was held was the exact same place where my partner and I had been sitting on a mat and resting earlier.

I was like, "Huh?" because they were doing the laser exhibit on the bridge I had been watching while talking.

But that was just the beginning. All the paths I walked while strolling earlier were event locations.

Anyway!

I watched the circle lasers~

The short laser exhibit ended.

????????????

It was an exhibit that made me wonder if the walls would catch fire while I was watching.

While looking around, there was also a Tron movie pop-up store.

It looked like a cool motorcycle movie.

But to participate in the roulette, you had to ride the motorcycle and take a picture, so I passed.

A long white skirt and a motorcycle don't really go together.

I looked at the light flow, too!

It created round lights on the walking path.

It reminded me of the Dodangsan Cherry Blossom Festival.

They shine lights here and there, too. Hehe

I got a Light Festival pamphlet halfway through enjoying the festival.

LOL

I was like, "So that's what it was!" and reminisced about what I'd seen so far.

????

Actually, my favorite moment at the Light Festival was Sonic Aurora.

????????????

When we arrived, the fountain exhibit had just ended, so we waited in the front row.

But even the moment of waiting was so beautiful because the clouds in the sky looked so pretty.

Sonic Aurora was a fountain show where music, light, and fountains harmonized beautifully!

It lasted for a little less than 15 minutes, but it was so pretty that I wanted to see it again and again.

ㅠㅠㅠ

I don't really like taking pictures with my camera while watching exhibits or performances because I feel like I'm not actually seeing it with my own eyes.

So, I don't take pictures very often!

But Sonic Aurora was so pretty that I took pictures of it every now and then when it was especially beautiful.

I'll have to see it again later. Hehe

Especially fitting for the name Aurora, the lights used were reminiscent of the aurora borealis.

It felt mysteriously ethereal and beautiful...

But when I watched it from the front row, I had to endure the mist on my face. LOL

I was so busy admiring it that I let my guard down, and my face got wet.

But it was okay because it was pretty ~

There was also a booth exhibit, and the Korean-style lighting was so pretty.

Plus, because they put the lights inside and it was reflected largely on the wall, it was a complete work of art.

There was also an exhibit where you could experience a kaleidoscope, but I didn't know how to look at it, so I still don't know what it was.

This is a sculpture that my partner said looked like a car wash brush when we were strolling earlier. LOL

He said it reminded him of a car wash when there was no light, but when the light turned on, he teased me that it looked like my skirt.

I tried to dress like a girl because I was going to Seoul...

I met my friend.

There was also an exhibit that reminded me of my childhood memories.

When I was young, secret pens were popular, so my friends and I would write in our exchange diaries with transparent pens that could only be seen when you shined a light on them.

We also wrote secrets. LOL

But that was almost 20 years ago...

But in this exhibit, if you pressed the light and wrote, the letters would appear, which was a really cool system.

And we were getting more and more exhausted from the cumulative damage of walking...

We finally found the main exhibit, The Day We Left the Prairie, but the line was unbelievable...

It's a shame, but we decided it wasn't meant to be and quickly moved on.

Arrived at the Breathing Forest!

There was light in the trees, and the branches were twinkling in the Breathing Forest.

It seemed to be a healing theme where you could breathe slowly.

But I couldn't fill the dopamine I got from Sonic Aurora here...

Still, it was a forest that reminded me of the night sky I saw in Mongolia, with twinkling stars.

And our last stop ㅠ

Lumina Rose...

It was around 8 PM, and my partner and I had used up all our energy.

We had to go home...

LOL

So, we didn't even look at the exhibit and did a final check to see if there was anywhere else to go...

Even in this situation, he was a sweet boyfriend who put a pamphlet down for me to sit on because I was wearing a white skirt.

I'm grateful that he came with me, and even more grateful that he enjoyed it with me without showing any signs of displeasure.

So, we were satisfied with the Light Festival up to this point!

We briefly looked at the Lumina Rose from afar and turned around.

I was so drained that I couldn't see anything beautiful or anything else.

And on the way home, we accidentally ran into Beat Temperature, which we had missed.

Okay, we ran into it, so that's good enough.

Goodbye...

Quickly escaping to Incheon.

The 2025 Light Festival was the most crowded and had the most things to see ever.

It was a free exhibit that was great for families, couples, and children to take a walk and look around in the cool weather!

It made me happy to come to Ttukseom after a long time, spread out a mat, take pictures, and eat Han River ramen. Hehehe

It was a Light Festival that will be a good memory. ♥️♥️♥️

But as always,

Light Festival review end!
