My Experience at the 2026 Korea International Bakery Fair & Coffee Expo

Hello everyone!
Today, as a bread lover, I want to share my genuine experience from the event I had been eagerly anticipating for months!
I attended the 2026 Korea International Bakery Fair & Coffee Expo on April 18th.
Before the fair, I had a grand goal... to explore both fairs within 3 hours and successfully bring back some bread!
While looking for the venue, I was intrigued by foreigners taking pictures in front of the Psy's Gangnam Style statue, so I snapped a photo too!
After some asking, I finally found Hall D, but the crowded subway and the throngs of people made me think that navigating the 2026 Korea International Bakery Fair & Coffee Expo wouldn't be easy.
To my surprise, the lines were incredibly long!
The line in the photo is for pre-entry ticket collection, but it extended inside as well.
After finally getting our tickets, we felt a sense of accomplishment. We had pre-booked our tickets through Ticket Link for 10,000 won.
While taking our photos, we learned that due to the large crowds at the bakery fair, entry was limited. Following the staff's instructions, we decided to check out the Coffee Expo on the first floor first.
The line was indeed very long!
At the 2026 Seoul Coffee Expo, the entry line was short, but it was quite hot that day, with temperatures reaching 26-27 degrees Celsius.
Unfortunately, the inside wasn't as cool as I expected.
The Coffee Expo offered a variety of tastings, including coffee, decaf, tea, and desserts. There were also purchasing options available!
They even had an event where you could receive a drip bag by participating in an SNS event!
The coffee booths were crowded, and since I couldn't find anything to drink, I wandered around looking for something I could try.
One of my favorites was the Oboom Pearl Jam! It was refreshing with soda water, and I enjoyed sampling various flavors of jam on bread.
After about an hour of wandering, we decided to meet up and explore more before the time was up.
I spotted a long line for a place called Magic Strawberry, which had some interestingly dressed people, and thought, "This must be good!"
I added them on KakaoTalk and purchased for 1,900 won, but I was disappointed as the strawberry flavor wasn't as pronounced as I had hoped.
Eventually, we headed to the 3rd floor for the Korea International Bakery Fair.
The Coffee Expo had a lot of people, but the bakery fair was even more crowded.
I truly admire those who left with bags full of purchases from the two fairs!
I couldn't even sample any bread due to the long lines, so I ended up just visiting the shorter booths.
While at the spread booth, I tried some biscuits that were delicious!
I was looking for Pick Bake but found out it was actually on the first floor of the Coffee Expo! I regretted not buying it on the way out.
The lesson of the day: If you want to buy something, do it when you can!
That day, the fair was packed with people, featuring everything from public baking championships to student cake-making demonstrations.
It was impressive to see everyone focused on creating their masterpieces!
The results were astonishingly delicate, akin to works of art!
I even got to see the baking demonstration from the chefs who won the 2026 France Baking and Pastry World Cup!
We missed out on the free bread they were offering due to time constraints, which was unfortunate.
There was also a cute Bread Barbershop pop-up, and I took some fun photos with the dolls!
Overall, the fair was incredibly crowded, and the hot weather made it even more challenging.
While I was disappointed that I couldn't buy any bread, I enjoyed seeing all the booths, pop-ups, and competitions.
It was tiring but fun!
